A Study On The Characteristics Of Epidemic Reports From The International Perspective

In 2020,the COVID-19 epidemic will break out.When people are faced with the challenge of the virus,negative emotions are easy to breed and spread,and the emotional transmission needs more guidance of "positive emotions".The report and dissemination of major public events have once again become the focus of people’s attention.Social media has a strong advantage in the reporting of major public health events,while Weibo platform can grasp information in a timely manner with a wide range of information sources.As the official microblog of traditional media,it is worth exploring how to make good use of social media.As an international news newspaper and a mouthpiece for external publicity,Global Times’ official microblog also played an important role in "telling China’s story well,spreading China’s voice well and adhering to the correct direction of public opinion" during the epidemic period.Reports on social media were unique in major public health events.Based on the theme "outbreak" as the breakthrough point,adopts the method of quantitative research,with the global times,microblogging issued by new crown outbreak related articles as the research object,the related articles published reports of time distribution,reported issues,regional present form,the report form,source,characteristic analysis of news source.This paper selected the theme report samples of "COVID-19" and "epidemic" from Global Times Weibo during2019/12/31--2020/11/30 as the research object,focused on the content analysis of the research samples,and discussed the characteristics of the report on "COVID-19" and "epidemic" on Global Times Weibo,and finally concluded the characteristics and deficiencies of the report on "COVID-19".
