The booming network technique and the increasing health-consciousness of the public triggered the appearance of sports APPs and speeded the development of them.Sports APPs are not only the combination of Internet and sports,but also the typical representative of the spreading health-consciousness in the era of new media.It changed the way that the public participating in physical exercise.Visualized sports information and accurate record data directly helped with a better perception of the public health-awareness.Social groups based on interest became the effective carrier of health information communication.The coordinate type of online-offline dissemination brought wide participation and general appreciation of the users.With the improvement of public electronic health literacy,sports APPs became an indispensable part of health communication practice due to their convenience,diverse functions and remarkable effects.Sports APPs not only offered physical and psychological health guidance for the audience,but also contributed to the realization of the goal of Healthy China.In order to understand the motivation and social experience of the sports APP users,and to explore the effect of the sports APPs in helping the audience with obtaining health information,forming health concepts and facilitating health behaviors.With the sports APPs advertising “sports social” as the research object,took the "knowledge-attitude-practice model" of health communication area,“uses and gratifications” and “exposure” and self-identity theory of the communication studies area,“Maslow’s hierarchy of needs” of psychology area as the theoretical support,interviews and questionnaire survey were carried out to do the research.In the empirical part,user intentions were obtained through semi-structured interviews,and questionnaires will be designed on the basis of theory combining with practice and delivered to the users.In addition to descriptive statistics of the recovered data,two regression models were established with the using frequency of social functions and the overall satisfaction of users as variables to analyze the impact of social functions to the users on the overall satisfaction in the part of data analyzing.The results are as follows:In terms of user characteristics and using motivations,the awakening of health awareness made the users of sports APPs became younger in average age.In addition,a large proportion of high cognition was also one of the main user characteristics.Physiological needs,and social needs constituted the main motivations to use the APP for users.Physiological needs represented to obtain health information and improve health status.“Appointments” before exercise,“communications” after exercise and interconnection between online and offline were important manifestations of social motivation.On this basis,the purpose of strengthening health awareness and condensing healthy atmosphere could be achieved."sports socialization" became a main way conveying health information.The deepening of social activities promoted the communication of health concepts and strengthened the health awareness of the users constantly.The audience behaviors transformed based on the consensus of“healthy”,“dynamic” and “positive”.“Communications” like posting pictures on the platform made the users enjoy higher level of mental health.In the overall satisfaction aspect,online interaction,personal presentation and social interaction had positive impacts on users’ overall satisfaction of the APP,while sports consumption has no impact.Therefore,from the four aspects of building a safe information protection system,enhance the user experience of viscosity and feeling,in various forms to strengthen the user’s health motivation and intelligent hardware combined with VR/AR technology improve the health behavior,suggestions were provided for the development of health communication and the subsequent development,design and function improvement of sports APPs in this paper.
