The 5th generation wireless system puts forward higher requirements for data transmission rate,but the spectrum scarcity in the low-frequency band has limited the utilization rate and spectrum bandwidth.5G antenna in millimeter wave band began to develop due to the abundant free spectrum.Low cost and high gain are the key to 5G antenna design.In addition,dual-polarized antenna with polarization multiplexing has become a research hotspot of 5G antenna.In this thesis,different types of broadband high-gain dual-polarized antenna array combined with the requirements of low cost and miniaturization are introduced.The main research contents are as follows:1.Design of dual-polarized microstrip antenna array: a 16 × 16 Ka-band high-gain dual-polarized microstrip antenna with double-layer unit for 5G application is presented.The antenna is designed based on the multi-layer printed circuit board technology,which is cost effective and suitable for mass production.The simulated data exhibit an overlapped bandwidth of approximately 14.3%,and a gain greater than 24.82 d Bi in band.2.Design of dual-polarized cavity backed slot antenna array: in order to get the best electrical performance,an 8 × 8 broadband dual polarization cavity backed slot antenna array in Ka band is designed by using metal plating,which has the advantages of high gain,low cross-polarization and high isolation.The antenna can be roughly divided into cross radiation slots,cavities and waveguide feeding networks.Compared with microstrip antenna,the cavity backed slot antenna has better electrical performance.The simulated bandwidth is about 10.7%,and the gain in band is greater than 25.44 d Bi.3.Design of dual-polarized microstrip/SIW hybrid feeding antenna array: in millimeter wave band,microstrip antenna has low cost but high loss,and waveguide antenna has good electrical performance but high cost and high profile.Considering the advantages and disadvantages of both,an 8 × 8 broadband high-gain dual polarization microstrip/SIW hybrid feeding antenna array is adopted.Based on the 4 × 4 microstrip sub-array,the SIW feeding network is used to reduce the loss caused by long microstrip line,which keeps good electrical performance.The simulated bandwidth of the array is about 15.4%,and the gain in band is greater than 21.23 dBi.
