A Study On The Informatization Planning For A Company

Enterprise A is a logistics company.After years development of informatization,its information system can support several key businesses.However,with the improved requirement of management and control(M&C),the current informatization level cannot satisfy its practical needs.This thesis proposes an overall planning for informatization considering its development strategy.The informatization plan can support the strategy and M&C efficiently.It also can enhance the core competence and competitiveness of A company.Firstly,this thesis analyzes the internal and external environment of A company.The competitiveness of logistics industry and the support points of informatization for competitiveness promoting have been identified.Its competitiveness and the effect of informatization to its strategy have been evaluated by SWOT analysis.Combining the development trend of informatization in logistic industry with the its reality,its competitive strategy has been proposed.Meanwhile,its strategic objectives and initiatives have been figured out upon the analyzing of management and informatization status.Based on these works,its development strategy,information construction task and objective have been defined.Then,how informatization supports strategic initiatives is analyzed deeply in this thesis.The Strategy Set Transformation(SST)has been used to transfer company's strategic objective into information-based objective.To identify the information requirements of A company at strategic level,the Critical Success Factor(CSF)has been proposed.The CSF can distinguish the information requirements from management and business perspectives respectively.Based on these analyses,this thesis uses Business System Planning(BSP)to construct the information system of A company.considering its core business,the function architecture of information system(including construction object and the core functions)can be determined.The matching ability of core functions and its strategy has been analyzed.Lastly,this thesis establishes the implementation phases,risk management and guarantee strategies based on the reality and development requirement of A company.
