In the transformation led by 5G,big data,cloud computing and other technologies,cable network companies are facing a new competitive pattern since the triple play.In recent years,due to its weak technical foundation,relatively single business model,lack of market experience and other reasons,cable TV users have been diverted by IPTV,OTT and other competitors for a long time,resulting in great threats and challenges to the business development of enterprises.In addition,the TV turn-on rate and activity are decreasing,and the trend of user preference changing to mobile terminal is more and more obvious.However,with the integration of national cable network companies,the policy advantages of broadcasting 5g license issuance,and the changes of external environment,it is very necessary and urgent to study the operation strategy of cable network and put forward suggestions for improvement,so as to help the company improve its operation efficiency.SX cable network is the first provincial cable network company to realize the network integration of the whole province in China.It has long experience in unified operation and management at the provincial level.Therefore,it is representative to select SX cable network as the research object.This paper first refers to a large number of literature at home and abroad,as well as SX cable network company’s financial reports and other relevant data over the years,horizontally carries out the comparison of IPTV,Ott and cable network operation,with the help of SWOT,pest and other analysis methods,analyzes the internal and external environmental factors of SX cable network company,and gives strategic development suggestions.Secondly,combined with the theory of operation management and enterprise strategic management,we conducted a survey and in-depth interview.The interviewees covered all aspects of SX cable network company’s internal product,technology,market and other functional department,network users and other operators’ users,front-line maintenance personnel and so on.We strive to objectively and completely explore the company’s current products,technology,operation system,service life and so on the problems of market channels and other aspects are analyzed in depth.Finally,the paper puts forward specific operational strategy improvement measures,such as improving product layout,improving product service quality,using technology upgrading,reducing operating costs,mining data value,improving operational capacity,increasing market promotion,and improving sales effect.At the same time,it puts forward supporting safeguard measures,such as accelerating the transformation of talent team,enriching and improving enterprise culture,and doing a good job in capital guarantee.This paper mainly studies the problems existing in the current SX cable network operation,and how to combine their own advantages,avoid their own disadvantages,and realize new breakthroughs and development by seizing external opportunities and improving operation strategies.The research conclusions provide a reference for the development and transformation of other provincial cable network companies.
