Study On The Use Of WeChat By Maonan Villagers In Zhonglitun

Under the background of the accelerated process of rural modernization,the villagers in minority areas can also participate in the information interaction in the network society and Infiltrate into their daily life as a vulnerable group in the information society.Zhonglitun is a Maonan village in the remote mountainous area of Guangxi.It belongs to Huanjiang Maonan Autonomous County and is one of the many remote minority mountainous villages in Guangxi.Using the research method of online and offline ethnography,through field investigation and interview,this paper analyzes the relationship between wechat and the daily life of Maonan villagers in zhonglitun from three aspects of wechat social interaction,lifestyle and emotional experience.The first chapter is "online and offline" admission.Through the interviews and field investigation,we can understand the general situation of zhonglitun and the use of new media.Then it focuses on the use of wechat by the villagers,summarizes the general situation of the wechat group as well as its typical individual narrative.The second chapter: “Wechat social networking: the construction of personal communication space ”.It takes the "double connection" theory as the breakthrough point to analyze the changes brought by the use of wechat to zhonglitun villagers in communication space.Wechat connects villagers with their families,villages and ethnic groups.The third chapter: “Media life: reconstruction of villagers life style".it mainly studies the restructure of wechat use on villagers lifestyle from four aspects:entertainment life,consumption life,economic life and ethnic ritual life.The researchers found that this restructure is reflected in the following 3 ways: first,villagers get new entertainment;second,wechat provides new consumption scenes;third,wechat realizes the transformation of villagers livelihood;fourth,wechat "mends"the traditional ethnic rituals.The fourth chapter: “Wechat emotion: the acquisition of ethnic identity ”.It analyzes systematically how the wechat group makes the villagers get emotional experience through story telling through the story telling system of communication infrastructure theory,and finally obtains ethnic identity.First of all,the “ideal self"”in wechat space is shaped through personal story telling.Secondly,it enhances the villagers family concept through the village stories telling.Finally,it constructs the collective memory of the villagers through the narration of ethnic culture.The last part is “summary and discussion”,which mainly includes 2 aspects.The first is to analyze the similarities and differences in the use of wechat in zhonglitun.The second is to reflect on the problems occurred in the use of wechat in zhonglitun and then make suggestions.
