A Study Of Compound Communication Mechanism Of "Looking China·International Youth Film Project"

The sudden novel corona virus outbreak in 2020 catches the world off guard and puts it on pause.China takes the lead on the battlefield against the epidemic,fights the virus desperately,and fulfills its tasks contentedly when tested by this global pandemic.However,as compatriots around the world are fighting the epidemic together,certain western media and politicians headed by America try to distract the public and twist the truth,passing the buck to China for diminishing China’s international standing.Therefore,Chino-U.S.relations turn downright icy.China always puts a positive and open spin on the world while some western politicians are deaf to the facts and vigorously advocate the "China Threat Theory",which has affected China’s international image.Based on practical needs,how to effectively spread Chinese culture on the international stage is worth discussing.As an excellent case in large-scale cross-cultural activities,"looking China · Foreign Youth Film Project" has had pretty huge domestic and overseas repercussions after ten years of intensive cultivation,and the research of its inner cross-cultural compound communication mechanism is worthwhile.In the context of cross-cultural communication,this paper conducts theoretical research on the "looking China · Foreign Youth Film Project" project on methods of qualitative analysis and case study.Chapter one puts "looking China · Foreign Youth Film Project" within large-scale activities which are defined meanwhile,sorts out relationships between cross-cultural communication and large-scale activities and their characteristics,and briefly summarizes the background,current situation and processes of “Eyes on China Program”.Chapter two studies subjects,contents,channels,effects and other communication elements of compound communication mechanism,probes into the compound communication mechanism of the "looking China · Foreign Youth Film Project" project,and reveals its communication principles from the perspective of communication sciences.Chapter three builds on the groundwork laid by the above analysis to summarize the cultural implications of the "looking China · Foreign Youth Film Project" project on cross-cultural communication in our country and sort out the advantages of the compound communication mechanism in cross-cultural communication.The compound communication mechanism analyzed and studied in this paper is hoped to provide a communication paradigm for our country’s cross-cultural communication activities,so as to better spread them,and contribute to the international communication of Chinese culture which thereby yields unusually brilliant results in the world.
