Network fault management is the core of the network management system.In practical network applications,failures are almost inevitable.Quickly detecting and accurately locating network faults can improve the reliability of the network management system and ensure stable network services.Current fault detection technologies mainly include passive fault detection technology and active fault detection technology.Active fault detection technology has strong flexibility,high scalability and good applicability,and can be used in various complex network environments.The probe paths in the traditional IP network are generally the shortest path,with a small number and poor flexibility.In addition,when detecting faults in the ECMP network,a large number of probe packets need to be sent to analyze the network status,which greatly increases the difficulty of network management.Segment routing technology is a new network architecture.In recent years,segment routing technology has been gradually used in network monitoring systems.By constructing a specific segment routing loop to monitor all devices and links in the network,the complexity of fault management can be effectively reduced.This paper studies network fault detection and location methods based on segment routing technology by using active fault detection and selecting an efficient set of probe paths.Quickly detect network faults and accurately locate faulty nodes through probe feedback results.The entire detection process includes a fault detection process and a fault location process.When designing available probe paths,design different probe paths according to the characteristics of the detection and the location.Design the probe loops for fast fault detection in the fault detection process,and design the probe paths returned from the original path for accurate fault location in the fault location process.Compared with the traditional IP network,the segment routing technology can construct more and more flexible and efficient probe paths,which is convenient to find the optimal probe path set.This paper solves the problem of fault detection and fault location by designing detection probe matrix and location probe matrix,and the goal is to choose reasonable and efficient probe paths.In this paper,a greedy increase strategy is adopted to select the set of probe paths.In order to further optimize the probe paths and reduce the network load,considering redundant probe factors to reduce repeated coverage of network nodes in this paper.By constructing a probe matrix algorithm to select the optimal set of probe paths,quickly detect and accurately locate faults,and the network load is smaller.Finally,analysis and comparison through experiments verify the rationality and efficiency of this method.
