Indoor visible light positioning(VLP)technology has become increasingly popular in recent years due to its advantages such as immunity to electromagnetic interference,high positioning accuracy and high security,energy saving and environmental protection.However,most existing researches assume that the altitude of the receiver is fixed during positioning,thus ignoring the impact of changes in receiver altitudes on positioning.Considering actual application scenarios,the received signal strength(RSS)-based positioning with changing receiver altitudes are discussed in both twodimensional(2D)and three-dimensional(3D)situations.Then a scheme based on lifting receivers is proposed to improve positioning accuracy,which is simple,convenient and very practical.Firstly,the relevant models and principles of visible light positioning are introduced,and the necessity of considering the receiver altitude is analyzed.Then,the three-dimensional RSS algorithm is derived based on the exsiting two-dimwnsional RSS algorithm.After that,the impact of receiver altitude changes on positioning is analyzed from the two cases of two-dimensional positioning under three-lamp and three-dimensional positioning under four-lamp respectively.In the three-dimensional case,according to the actual situation,the concept of altitude error was proposed,and the impact of receiver altitude changes on positioning from both horizontal and vertical directions are analyzed.The simulations in this article consider the situation of light reflection in the room.The simulation results show that,as the receiver altitude increases,the positioning error also increases.This feature have been used to propose a simple scheme to improve the positioning accuracy through multiple movement measurements of the receiver.The feasibility and superiority of the scheme are proved by simulation.Simulation results show that the overall average altitude error of the room after improvement is 29.7cm,and the effect is particularly obvious for the central area of the room,in this place the average altitude error can be 7cm.At the end of the thesis,the impact of the height of the lamp on the positioning in a three-dimensional situation is discussed,which makes the altitude positioning research more complete.
