Research On Strategies And Optimization Of Xinjiang-related Reports By People’s Daily From The Perspective Of The Western Development

Affected by factors such as space-time distance,history and culture,many people know very little about Xinjiang,and there are differences between their perceptions of Xinjiang and reality.In addition,Western countries and separatist forces use each other to smear Xinjiang’s image and use this to vilify China’s national image.This has led to damage to people’s impression of Xinjiang,which is not conducive to the development and construction of Xinjiang.Xinjiang is the top priority of the western development.In the 20 years since the development of the western region,the People’s Daily,as the party’s central organ,has continuously reported on the development of Xinjiang and achieved good results.Studying the Xinjiang-related reporting strategies of the People’s Daily from the perspective of the development of the western region,summing up experience,analyzing the causes,and optimizing it will help to further report on the development of Xinjiang and promote better development and faster development of Xinjiang.The study conducted a statistical analysis of the reports on the development of Xinjiang from June 17,1999 to June 17,2020 in the People’s Daily,and found that the reports exhibited the following characteristics: in terms of reporting format,they grasped the rhythm and intensity,and paid attention to layout.The report genre is mainly feature articles,medium and long lengths are mostly,and text reports are emphasized.During the period,the report format has been adjusted.Over time,the number of pictures and short comments has increased,and the readability has improved;in terms of report content,the report has a lofty position and theme Magnificent,prominent issues,positive public opinion orientation,showing a good agenda setting and framework construction strategy.Investigating the causes is related to media operating mechanisms,correct political directions,and policy propaganda and guidance.The "People’s Daily" reporting strategy on Xinjiang’s large-scale development provides a useful reference for other media to report on the large-scale development of Xinjiang and even the western region.The study found that the "People’s Daily" report on Xinjiang’s large-scale development still has room for improvement.The research is based on the relevant studies of the predecessors,and proposes optimization measures such as three-dimensional presentation of the development of Xinjiang,changing the voice of news reports,integrating reports to form resonance,grasping the timeliness of reports,and increasing the intensity of cultural dissemination,so as to make further progress.Reports on the development of Xinjiang,boosting the development of Xinjiang.
