Media is an important medium of information dissemination.With the advent of the new media era,due to the change of individual communication,the types of information communication become more and more,and the communication speed is also more rapid.In recent years,the control of social media has gradually become the focus of attention.In the past,traditional media have been trying to follow and uphold the spirit of professional journalism,screening and dissemination of information.On social media platforms,the release of information has been unable to follow the professional theoretical requirements at any time,and the content of information is uneven.After the outbreak of the Covid-19 in China in January 2020,the epidemic situation around the world has been getting worse.Twitter is the most active social media for information dissemination.Besides the United States,Japan has the largest number of Twitter users and the highest usage rate.As an important social media platform in Japan,it pla ys an important role in the dissemination of information about Covid-19 infection.Based on the case of the Covid-19 epidemic information on Japanese twitter,this paper introduces shoemaker’s "super gatekeeper" theory,and discusses how Japanese social me dia with high degree of freedom is directly or potentially influenced by government regulation,enterprise regulations,personal tendency and media literacy level in its unique social and cultural context It’s hidden.The study found that although Japan accepted the idea of western liberalism news earlier,because of its special historical and cultural background and the influence of professional Correspondents’ organizations such as jo urnalists club,COVID-19 has relatively strict checks on information.The outbreak coincided with the eve of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games and regime change.In order to maintain political stability,reduce the suppression of anti epidemic measures on its economic development,and ensure the effective use of domestic medical resources,social media represented by twitter appeared more checks and controls in the transmission process than in the daily state,which led to the outbreak At the beginning of the w ar,the Japanese people were uneasy.However,with the deepening of the understanding of the causes of the disease,the government,enterprises,media and individuals have gradually played a positive role in the process of epidemic information dissemination,which has a positive impact on the recovery of daily life in Japan.Compared with the traditional media,the new media,which is more difficult to control,will be more frequently coupled,resonated and intertextual with the social and cultural context in the future,inevitably presenting a panoramic and chaotic situation.If we want to know and understand it,we must deeply analyze its deep formation mechanism and describe its influencing factors in the specific social and cultural context,so as to find its positive or negative mechanism.
