Narrative Research On News Reports Of Juvenile Delinquency

As a special group of society the physical and mental health of minors is related to family happiness,social harmony and national stability.Taking the narrative research of juvenile delinquency report as the topic is not only of legal theoretical significance,but also of practical value for the rule of law,it is helpful to construct news discourse and to properly interpret news discourse and realize the social function of legal news.At present,most of the narrative research on the crime news report is focused on the special topic report,but the narrative research on the juvenile delinquency news report is rare.The Rule of Law Daily and Procuratorial Daily,as the "leaders" of legal news reports,are professional and authoritative,and taking them as the research object will help to explore the narrative law of juvenile delinquency news reports in China,so as to guide the creation of similar news.Firstly,based on the relevant theories of news narrative and narrative discourse,this paper uses literature analysis,content analysis and quantitative statistics to select469 news reports on juvenile crimes published in the Rule of Law Daily and Procuratorial Daily from 2016 to 2020.In order to have a comprehensive and objective understanding of such news reports,the author makes an in-depth analysis of such news reports from the aspects of quantity,layout,source,theme,genre,crime type and so on.Secondly,this paper analyzes the sample from four aspects: the narrator,the narrative perspective,the narrative model and the narrative language,it also sums up the narrative rules and difficulties of juvenile delinquency news reports.This paper holds that the rules of juvenile delinquency news reporting are as follows:constructing multiple narrative subjects to enhance the objectivity of news reports;skillfully using multiple perspectives and different perspectives to enhance the authenticity of news reports;synthesizing various narrative modes and paying attention to the propaganda of media public opinion;highlight the function of narrative discourse and demonstrate the importance of humanistic care.The narrative difficulties of juvenile delinquency news reporting are: the disclosure of juvenile delinquency information;the narrator’s language attitude;psychological interpretation of minors involved in crime;rational thinking and objective reporting.Finally,this paper summarizes the narrative enlightenment of juvenile crime news reports: pay attention to the protection of the privacy of minors involved in crime;ensure the objectivity and justice of the news report;give juveniles the right to speak;change the stereotype of juvenile crime;strengthen the education of minors.
