| News is the result of the media’s macro-systematic construction of news events through language in a certain social system,socio-cultural background,economic development and other contexts,and is a non-static reproduction of discourse,so news can be studied as news discourse.The rapid rise of new media in the era of media convergence has caused traditional media to experience unprecedented pressure for survival.Many traditional media have carried out media fusion with new media in order to gain more space for survival.Among them,Tiktok,the hottest short-video platform nowadays,has become the preferred choice for many traditional media to transform.Since its entry into the Tiktok platform on 4 August 2019,CCTV News has reached 32.874 million followers as of 11 November 2021,making it a typical example of successful integration and transformation in the Tiktok platform.Therefore,this paper takes the news discourse of CCTV News’ Tiktok number as the object of study.Within the framework of the Vatican dick’s news discourse analysis,this paper presents a case study analysis of the news discourse of the Shake Shack at both the textual and contextual levels.Firstly,the analysis at the textual level is carried out in terms of both vocabulary and syntax.From the lexical analysis,it can be seen that the CCTV News Shakeout reports factual information through the use of real words in order to deliver the latest,fastest and most comprehensive information to the audience;the use of imaginary words makes the news discourse more vivid,playful and lively.The use of proper nouns increases the density of information and promotes professionalism in reporting;the use of common nouns promotes colloquial and easy-to-understand discourse,and the use of abstract nouns establishes positive examples and criticises negative cases,thus guiding and integrating mainstream public opinion;at the same time,it focuses on using internet vocabulary to create a discourse style that fits in with the young group on the Jitterbug platform.From the analysis of sentence patterns,it can be seen that the Jitterbug uses short sentences to fit the short,flat and fast communication characteristics of the Jitterbug platform;uses single sentences to achieve the fastest and widest dissemination in the shortest time;makes good use of exclamatory sentences to enhance the infectiousness of its news discourse;and enhances the audience’s sense of participation through the use of realistic conversational questioning sentences.Secondly,at the contextual level,this paper analyses the news discourse of CCTV News’ Tiktok from two perspectives: narrative perspective and narrative mode.From the perspective of narrative,the news bulletin makes the report more realistic and persuasive through the diversified perspectives of people who are limited to know;it restores the facts themselves to the greatest extent through a purely objective perspective,fully respecting the audience’s right to know.From the perspective of the narrative mode,CCTV News’ Jitterbug returns to the essence of news rationally through the news mode,and conveys positive social energy in a fun way through the story mode.Finally,after a comprehensive analysis of the characteristics of the news discourse of "CCTV News" Jitterbug,this paper attempts to explore the deep-seated causes behind its discourse,such as the upgrading of social management-oriented government management concepts and the upgrading of news discourse driven by changes in news value orientation.Finally,after comprehensively summarising the characteristics of the news discourse construction of "CCTV News" Jitterbug,this paper further elaborates on the inspiration brought to other traditional media by the change in news discourse of "CCTV News" Jitterbug,in the hope that other traditional media can enhance their aggregated influence on the Jitterbug platform through innovative news discourse construction,better guide positive social opinion and enhance the influence of mainstream values. |
