| As a mirror,PSAs are closely related to the social hotspots of different periods,recording the social landscape of each period and serving as a cultural memory carrier during social transition,truly reflecting the social daily life of a period.Public service announcements also have the function of social education and guiding public opinion,implicitly influencing people’s attitudes and behaviors.With the rapid development of the Internet and new media technology in the 21 st century,the combination of online PSAs and PSAs has become inevitable;the rise and development of online PSAs in China has also given an inevitable response to social changes.Therefore,studying the thematic changes of online PSAs is of great significance for sorting out the changes of the times,promoting the development of social culture,and making PSAs perform their social functions of edification and guiding public opinion better.Based on this background,this paper uses content analysis to analyze the themes of online PSAs in China from 2000 to 2021,in an attempt to clarify the changes in the themes of online PSAs in China since 2000,and on this basis,analyze the interaction between their changes and social development,point out the limitations of online PSAs and make suggestions to make them better serve the social function of guiding public opinion and edification.According to the study,social and livelihood PSAs account for the highest proportion of online PSAs in China,at 21.69%,followed by public value orientation and ecological and environmental protection,at 16.01% and 14.56%,respectively;the lowest proportion is science and education,at 4.66%.Through studying the interaction between thematic changes of online PSAs and social changes,we find that the choice of themes and production methods of online PSAs are influenced by social changes,and reflect the traces of the times while promoting social changes through their edification and propaganda functions. |
