A Study On The Problems And Countermeasures Of College Student Cadres Participating In Student Affairs Management In Newly-built Local Undergraduate Colleges And Universities

Since the end of the last century,a large number of newly established local undergraduate colleges and universities have stepped onto the historical stage,which is of great significance to the popularization and development of higher education in China.After the establishment of the school,they have been in the process of transformation,seeking breakthroughs in school running characteristics,orientation,mode and other aspects,but in student cadres involved in student affairs management is still lagging behind.Therefore,from the point of view of management,this paper makes a targeted analysis and research on the participation of student cadres in student affairs management in newly established local colleges and universities,and puts forward some corresponding countermeasures.The research of this topic has four purposes: first,to promote the realization of the goal of cultivating talents in schools;second,to promote the development of the theoretical research on the participation of student cadres in student affairs management in colleges and universities;third,to promote the improvement of student affairs management level in newly-built local undergraduate colleges and universities;fourth,it enriches the application of public management theory in university management.The research adopts the literature analysis method and the interview method,selects Sanming University as an example,starting with student cadres undefined participation in student affairs management’s investigation and analysis,points out that the main problems are the old management model in student affairs;the unclear role orientation,utilitarian participation motivation,lacked motivation and limited degree of participation in student cadres in the process of student affairs management,and then analyzes the causes of the problems,the school level reasons are the change in the concept of management lag,participation in a single way and the security mechanism is not perfect,the student cadres’ own reasons are include lack of subjective consciousness,lack of knowledge and ability,and lack of practical experience,etc.Finally,combining with the theory of public management,the paper puts forward some countermeasures to promote student cadres participation in student affairs management in newly established local colleges,including changing the management mode of student affairs,strengthening the role orientation of student cadres in the process of participating in student affairs management,guiding student cadres to set up the management concept of service first,perfecting the system and mechanism of participation security,enhancing the ability of student cadres to participate in student affairs management,and innovating the ways and means for student cadres to participate in student affairs management,etc.
