Narrative Research On The News Report Of Female Victimization In The New Media Era

In recent years,there have been many female victimization incidents all over the country.The domestic news media are quite concerned about such incidents,and the relevant news reports often cause hot discussions among the public.Different from the general news events,female victimization events often involve the presentation of gender reports in addition to tragedy.Therefore,how the media report them is not only an account of the truth of the event,but also a construction of female media image.At present,the research on female victimization news reports is not comprehensive.Generally,it focuses on discussing a certain type of victimization events,and often limits a specific media as the source of its sample library.The breadth and reference of the research is limited.Therefore,this paper attempts to start from the background of the new media era with the vigorous development of Internet technology,with the relevant theories of news narratology as the support,combined with the research methods of literature research,content analysis and text analysis,to extract 152 news reports on female victimization events from the platform of "Zhiwei Shijian" as the research samples and study them."Female victimization" is a specific and vague concept.Specifically,it has the gender of the victim and the fact of victimization.Vaguely,the situation of victimization is changeable.This paper first gives a specific definition of this concept,so as to clarify the selection criteria of the research object.The news database of "Zhi Wei Shi Jian" platform contains all kinds of domestic multimedia news reports since 2015.Therefore,taking it as a sample source can broaden the scope of research objects and has broader research significance.After the establishment of the sample library,through the content analysis of the samples,the overall situation and characteristics of the news reports of female victims in the new media era are presented,which supplements the research gaps in this field.On the basis of an overall understanding of the news reports of female victimization,this study makes an in-depth narrative analysis of the samples from three aspects: narrator,narrative perspective and narrative structure.First of all,according to the actual situation of the sample,combined with the narrative theory analysis of previous scholars,this paper divides and analyzes the categories of narrators,narrative perspective and narrative structure of this kind of news reports;secondly,through the grasp of the proportion of each category and the study of the text content,it states their respective characteristics.This research process is a combination of qualitative and quantitative,from the table to the inside of the female victims of the actual situation of news reports are explored.The results show that there are some biased phenomena such as "gender discrimination","single narrative source","improper use of narrative rhetoric" and "improper narrative strategy" in the media's news reports of female victimization,It is necessary to clarify the boundary between news narration and judicial trial,optimize narrative strategy and undertake the social responsibility of the media.On the whole,this paper attempts to use the theory of news narratology to make an in-depth study of the text of news reports in the field of female victimization,in order to promote the further optimization of such news reports.
