| Science plays an important role in the development of society.Science and technology are gradually becoming the core force of social development and affecting all aspects of our lives. In this context,it is an important task to further enhance the scientific literacy of citizens. As an important part of scientific literacy, improving students’ view of scientific nature plays an important role in cultivating students’ scientific literacy.Teachers,as one of the important persons accompanying students’ growth, have great influence on students’ level of view of science essence. Therefore, the improvement of physics pre-service teachers’ view of nature of science plays an important role in improving students’ understanding of nature of science.Based on this, this study uses a questionnaire adapted from the classical scale by He Lin of East China Normal University to evaluate the status quo of physics pre-service teachers’ view of nature of science. The questionnaire was used for pre-testing,and training strategies were proposed and specific teaching activities were carried out according to the results of pre-testing.Then,the questionnaire was used for post-test.According to the results of post-test,the influence of teaching activities on the training of physics pre-service teachers’ view of the nature of science was statistically analyzed. The research object is 80 juniors who took the course of "Physics Experiment Design" in a normal university in Shandong province. The students who took the course will basically be engaged in the teaching profession after graduation, that is,the pre-service teacher of physics. In the implementation of teaching activities,it does not affect the realization of the goal of the course "Physics Experiment Design".On this basis, the subjects are randomly divided into two groups. The experimental group carried out teaching activities, while the control group did not.The main research process and results are as follows:(1)According to the pre-test results, most of the pre-service physics teachers have a comprehensive understanding of the Classical view of the nature of science, but they are not fully understood in the three dimensions of ’ observation and reasoning,’ ’ scientific theory and law ’ and ’ imagination and innovation ’ in the modern view of the nature of science.(2)This study conducts specific teaching activities for one semester for the above three dimensions. The first part is the connotation of the nature of science: the mainstream views contained in the international understanding of science(classical view of the nature of science and modern view of the nature of science). In the second part, the observation and reasoning are combined with specific experiments. In this study, two experiments are used to measure Young’s modulus by optical lever and simulate electrostatic field. The third part is imagination and innovation. The experimental scheme is designed with the group as the unit, including the design of multiple methods for measuring resistance and the design of four schemes for measuring gravity acceleration. The fourth part of the scientific theory and law: the group as a unit combined with the previous study and query to the relevant information to discuss related issues, and examples to support their views.Turn history of physics into explicit knowledge.(3)Analyze the influence of teaching activities according to the statistical results.Paired sample t-test was performed on the pre-test and post-test data of the experimental group. The results showed that there were significant differences in the four dimensions of ’ tentativeness ’,’ observation and reasoning ’,’ scientific law and theory ’ and ’ imagination and innovation ’ in the modern science essence view scale. At the same time, the independent sample t-test of the post-test data of the experimental group and the control group also showed significant differences in the above four dimensions. It shows that the specific teaching activities implemented in this experiment have a positive impact on the understanding of the four dimensions of physics pre-service teachers.Through the investigation of the current situation of pre-service physics teachers ’ view of scientific nature and the exploration and research of relevant training strategies, this study uses three training strategies : ’ training strategy based on the history of physics ’,’ inquiry teaching strategy ’ and ’ explicit-reflective teaching strategy ’ to implement specific teaching activities. The results show that the specific teaching activities implemented in this experiment have a positive impact on the understanding of pre-service physics teachers in four dimensions: ’tentativeness ’,’ observation and reasoning ’,’ scientific laws and theories ’ and ’ imagination and innovation ’. |
