Ground penetrating radar is a shallow geophysical exploration instrument which is non-destructive and fast.It is also widely used in engineering structure detection and anomaly detection. There are many kinds of interference in the data acquisition process,so the measured data is doped with noise. Therefore, its data denoising has attracted much attention. The traditional time-domain filtering denoising method has been difficult to meet the current complex data denoising requirements. Therefore, the wavelet transform in time-frequency domain is used to denoise the ground penetrating radar data.Firstly, the response records of ground penetrating radar are obtained which is based on three sets of different anomaly detection models. The characteristic signal channels in different models are extracted, and Gaussian white noise is added to obtain onedimensional signals with different SNR.Four types of wavelet basis are selected to filter the characteristic signal channel, and the peak signal-to-noise ratio after filtering is calculated. The results show that wavelet transform can remove noise well, and the peak signal-to-noise ratio of sym9 wavelet basis is greatly improved after filtering. Then Gaussian white noise is added to obtain the records of two-dimensional with different SNR.The sym9 wavelet basis is used to denoise records of two-dimensional.The result shows that the wavelet basis has good effect of denoising on ground penetrating radar data.Furthermore, the wavelet transform are compared with the f-k filter. The result shows that the two methods of denoising can be used to denose the GPR data. The wavelet transform denoising method based on sym9 wavelet basis is more prominent in the fidelity of the effective reflection wave signal. Finally, the denoising effect of wavelet transform is tested by experiments and measured GPR profiles. The denoising result shows that most noise is filtered out and the effective reflection is highlighted. In summary, wavelet transform can be used to remove noise on the data of ground penetrating radar. But different wavelet basis have different effect, which should be targeted in practical application.Figure [49] Table [7] Reference [86]...
