Abstract/Summary:
China’s population aging and chronic diseases of the elderly are becoming more and more serious,and chronic diseases of the elderly have caused huge pressure on my country’s public health care.With the rapid development of technology,wearable medical monitoring devices can help the elderly at home to conduct self-monitoring of chronic diseases,so as to prevent and manage chronic diseases.However,the acceptance of wearable medical monitoring devices on the market by the elderly is currently low.In response to the above problems,this paper studies the factors affecting the acceptance of wearable medical monitoring devices by the elderly based on the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology(UTAUT)model,and then promotes the use of wearable medical monitoring devices by the elderly.The UTAUT model is a theoretical model that can explain and analyze the user’s acceptance behavior of information technology or products,and has guiding significance for the design and development of products or technologies.In this study,by arranging and analyzing the literature data of human-computer interaction for the elderly,wearable medical monitoring devices and UTAUT model,on the basis of the original UTAUT model,the elderly-oriented adjustment was made,the technology acceptance model of wearable medical monitoring devices for the elderly was constructed.The variable data was obtained through questionnaire survey,and then SPSS and AMOS software were used to analyze and verify the data,and the structural equation model was used to verify the hypothetical relationship between the variables in the model.Finally,the verified model variables are analyzed from the design point of view,the design elements of the wearable medical monitoring devices for the elderly are extracted,the corresponding design strategies are proposed for each design element,and they are mapped to the product design process one by one.In the design practice stage,relying on the actual project of the enterprise,according to the design strategy and product design process proposed in the analysis stage,the design practice of the hardware and APP of the wearable medical monitoring devices for cardiovascular health monitoring of the elderly has been completed.Finally,user usability tests are carried out on the physical prototype of the product and the high-fidelity prototype of the APP,and the subjective satisfaction of the testees were evaluated from Performance Expectancy,Effort Expectancy,Technology Anxiety,UI Display and Intention to Use,which verified the effectiveness of the model applied to design practice.In terms of theory,the UTAUT model was applied to the design and research of wearable medical monitoring devices for the elderly in this study,which enriched the UTAUT and provided a certain reference for the research on the design method of wearable medical monitoring devices for the elderly.In terms of application,this paper completed the project design of wearable medical devices for cardiovascular health monitoring of the elderly based on the research model.This method has certain reference value for the design of related products for the elderly.
