| Multi core optical fiber is a kind of special optical fiber that can accommodate multiple cores.In recent years,with the development of 5G,big data,Internet and Internet of things,higher and higher requirements have been put forward for information transmission and information collection carriers.Multi core optical fibers with multiple channels naturally have been paid more and more attention in the field of optical fiber communication and optical fiber sensing because of their structural advantages.Therefore,the research on multicore optical fiber devices and their preparation methods has great application value and research prospects.As an important part in the field of optical fiber micromachining technology,the fiber melting taper technology and the fiber side polishing technology have greatly changed the connection mode between optical fibers and improved the efficiency of the interaction between optical fibers and the external environment.Based on these two fiber preparation technologies,it is of great practical value and significance to improve the preparation method and process flow of the existing multi-core fiber coupling devices,and improve the stability and yield of the devices in the preparation process.The work of this paper includes the following aspects:Firstly,four different multi-core fiber taper couplers are explored by combining the oxyhydrogen flame melting taper drawing technology and simulation.Based on the beam propagation method,the loss and coupling efficiency of two core fiber,three core fiber,four core fiber and seven core fiber after taper are analyzed,and the effects of taper waist length and transition region length on device performance are determined.Secondly,an optical fiber side polishing scheme based on V-groove is proposed,and a set of side polishing platform which can be used for batch polishing is built.At the same time,taking the existing biased dual core fiber in our laboratory as an example,a set of Vgroove parameter design method and polishing process that can be used for any multi-core fiber are proposed.Finally,in order to improve the device integration,a set of polishing process for multicore fiber Bragg grating is explored in this paper. |
