In recent years,with the rapid development of wireless communication technology,the information interaction between people has become more and more closely,and new requirements have been put forward for communication capacity and information transmission rate.In order to meet the needs of contemporary high-speed communication,developing new spectrum resources has become a research hotspot in this field.Among them,vortex electromagnetic waves carrying orbital angular momentum,as a new type of freedom,have great application potential in improving channel capacity and spectrum utilization.This paper mainly focuses on the research of the vortex electromagnetic wave antenna of the circular array antenna.In this paper,the author first introduced the basic knowledge of vortex electromagnetic waves,then studied a variety of technical approaches for generating vortex electromagnetic waves.The relationship between the phase difference of adjacent array elements and the modal value carried by the vortex electromagnetic wave.By combining the microstrip patch antennas design principles,the array antenna design principles and feeding methods,the designed unit patches are arranged and combined according to certain rules,and the feeding network is used to generate the space between the feeding array elements.so that the designed array antenna successfully generates vortex electromagnetic waves carrying multiple modal values.Based on the theoretical basis and technical approaches above,this paper,designed two array antennas that can work in the C-band,using electromagnetic simulation software.The author firstly proposed an eight-element circular array with rectangular radiating patches as array elements,followed by an eight-element circular array which is evenly arranged according to the circumference.Arrays with feeder networks can generate vortex electromagnetic waves that carry orbital angular momentum.On the basis of the first array antenna,the author proposed another antenna,which uses sector-shaped radiating patches as array elements and is arranged in the shape of helix,this novel structure effectively avoids the feeding networks becoming too complex.By controlling the rotation angle of the array elements generating vortex electromagnetic waves carrying orbital angular momentum,the complexity of the design structure is effectively optimized.Finally,based on the proposed method for generating the excited vortex wave that controls the rotation angle of the array element,the author implemented the process in physical world,and the results are basically consistent with the simulation results.This paper systematically studies the generation of vortex electromagnetic waves by circular array antennas,and designs a new structure to generate vortex electromagnetic waves carrying orbital angular momentum,which enriches the current methods of generating vortex electromagnetic waves.
