| In widely used survival analysis models,it is often not possible to include all necessary covariates in the model, such as population heterogeneity, which may be ignored.A common solution is to add frailty variables to the model in place of necessary covariates that are not observed. At the same time, adding frailty to the model can also deal with many other problems, such as censoring, population heterogeneity measurement, random effects, and correlated failure time problems. This paper is a review article. We list common frailty models and their applications, review the application and comparison of different frailty models of other researchers, and apply some methods to an actual data set. |
