The acoustic signal simulator is an important auxiliary equipment for underwater acoustic positioning systems.This paper intends to design a type of acoustic signal simulator to replace real targets and assist underwater acoustic positioning systems in conducting experiments,calibration,and debugging tasks.This paper analyzes the functions of the signal simulator,proposes the overall design and implementation plan of the signal simulator based on the required functions and indicators,develops the corresponding software and hardware,and supporting display and control software.Finally,through functional testing and integrated experiments,the stability of the system is verified.The paper first analyzes the parameters and functional requirements of the acoustic signal simulator,and provides the overall design plan for the system based on the functions of signal generation,clock synchronization,and signal transmission.The overall structure of the acoustic signal simulator is designed,which consists of a display and control software,a signal generation board,a GPS signal receiver,an underwater acoustic transmitter,and an underwater transducer.According to the overall structure,specific implementation plans are designed,including the development of the display and control software interface using Qt,which completes functions such as signal generation,parameter setting,and file import;using ZYNQ as the main control chip to design the signal generation board,responsible for file storage,clock synchronization with GPS pulse,and control of DAC for digital-to-analog conversion;using serial ports,network interfaces,and other interfaces to complete communication and transmission between different parts of the acoustic signal simulator.The paper then provides a detailed introduction to the design of the hardware and software of the signal generation board.In the hardware design part of the signal generation board,the functions of various hardware modules are analyzed,and the corresponding chip selection and circuit schematic are given.In the software design part of the signal generation board,based on the characteristics of the ARM and FPGA ends of the ZYNQ chip,the functions of embedded software are allocated,and the design principles and workflow diagrams of various software modules are provided.In the design part of the display and control software,the interface view of the display and control software is designed based on the principles of intuitiveness and ease of operation,and the analysis and design of various functional modules of the display and control software are conducted.Finally,the modules of the acoustic signal simulator are tested to complete functional verification,including signal transmission,GPS signal reception and clock synchronization,and interaction with the display and control software.The results prove that the acoustic signal simulator designed in this paper has good stability and can meet the required functions and parameter requirements for use in conjunction with underwater acoustic positioning systems.
