With the fast development of an electromagnetic technique that is applied in such areas as engineering, information communication, medical care, electronic countermeasures,et.al.,the biological effects caused by electromagnetic irradiation have been widely concerned. So far,the research works are mainly focused on the bioeffects caused by single-frequency wave sources, the work on the bioeffects caused by multiple-sources exposure is far from sufficient.Since a single-frequency exposure is not enough to reflect the complex electromagnetic environment in real life,it is necessary to further investigate the biological effects caused by multi-sourced electromagnetic exposure. In the present study,we constructed a two-sourced irradiation system to investigate the effect of two kinds of frequency combination(S-band combined with L-band source,S-band combined with C-band source),three kinds of irradiation modes(two wave sources irradiated simultaneously, two wave source irradiated individually),and irradiation parameters(average power density of external field for S-L combined irradiation, and the number of pulses for S-C combined irradiation)on the bioeffect of rats’brain, heart, liver, and testis. This work is aimed to provide the experimental data for both human safety protection and medical application on electromagnetic exposure.Present work, blood routine examination of rats was taken by auto-hemocyte analysis instrument. The pathological injuries of the brain, heart, liver, and testis were observed by paraffin section and HE staining. The contents of alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),and testosterone in serum,as well as the content of apoptosis-related proteins-Bax and Bcl-2 in tissues, were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(Elisa). The sperm motility parameters of rats were quantified by computer-aided semen analysis(CASA).The experimental results showed that:(1)In the case of S-L combined irradiation:under S-wave source irradiation, the nuclear area of granular cells in DG area of rats’hippocampus was significantly smaller, and the corpus callosum became loosener when>1000 W/m~2;The Johnson score of the seminiferous tubule in rat’testis decreased with the increase of,and there was a significant difference when>1000 W/m~2;The liver caryon area increased significantly when>50 W/m~2.Under L-wave source irradiation, the morphological damage of tissues had a similar law to that under S-wave source irradiation.Under SL combined irradiation, the corpus callosum became loosener when>1000 W/m~2;The Johnson score of the seminiferous tubule in rat’testis decreased with the increase of,and there was a significant difference when>2000 W/m~2;The liver caryon area increased significantly when>50 W/m~2.The above results indicate that the rats’brain, liver and testis had pathological damage in this study.Under the same average power density of external field, the bioeffects had no significant difference between SL dual wave source combined irradiation and two wave sources irradiation individually.(2)In the case of S-C combined irradiation:whether combined irradiation or two individual irradiation, there was no pathological or functional damage in the four tissues of rats.Under combined irradiation and two wave sources irradiation individually, there were no significant morphological changes in rats’brain, heart, liver, and testis. The blood routine indexes and the contents of ALT,AST,and testosterone in serum had no significant changes. The parameter of sperm motility in epididymis had not been significantly affected.Under combined irradiation and two individual irradiation, apoptosis response was yielded in the four tissues, and the response increased with the increase of specific absorption(SA).Both the SC combined irradiation and the two individual irradiations exhibited a field effect.Under the close SA values,no significant difference between SC combined irradiation and the two individual irradiations was observed.(3)The experimental results of S-L combination irradiation and S-C combination irradiation showed that the bioeffect between combined irradiation and individual irradiation had no statistical difference under the same exposure dose in this study.
