Objective: : Cervical cervical spondylosis,a common neck disease,is relatively mild, but if left untreated,it can progress further and have a significant impact on the patient’s work, recreation, and quality of life. Both cervical joint exercises and Mc Kenzie therapy are exercise therapies, which advocate the concept of active self-initiated treatment with emphasis on prevention. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the differences in the efficacy of two different exercise therapies for cervical cervical spondylosis and to analyze their mechanisms of action and application characteristics in order to provide references and suggestions for recommending easier and more accessible treatment options for patients with cervical cervical spondylosis.Methods:Twenty-eight subjects with cervical cervical spondylosis who met the study criteria were recruited from Xi’an Sports College, and they were randomly divided into cervical joint exercise group and Mc Kenzie therapy group(14 people in each group),and underwent 4 weeks of intervention treatment(6 times/week,a total of 24times).By comparing the visual analogue scale(VAS),neck disability index(NDI),deep flexor endurance test of neck, muscle strength, range of motion of cervical spine, and root mean square(RMS)indicators of the surface myoelectric of the left and right muscles of the neck(sternocleidomastoid muscle, cephalic clip muscle)before and after the intervention,To assess differences in the effects of cervical joint exercises and Mackenzie therapy. The data obtained were statistically studied using SPSS25.0software,and the changes of the relevant indexes in the two experimental groups were mainly analyzed by t-test,and the difference was considered to be significant at P<0.05.Result:(1)VAS score:After 4 weeks of intervention, the VAS score of the cervical joint exercise group and the Mc Kenzie therapy group was significantly lower than that before the intervention(P<0.01),and the VAS value improvement in the cervical joint exercise group was slightly better than that in the Mackenzie therapy group between the two groups, but there was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05)(2)NDI score: After 4 weeks of intervention, the NDI score of the cervical joint exercise group and the Mc Kenzie therapy group was significantly lower than that before the intervention(P<0.01),and the improvement of VAS value in the cervical joint exercise group was slightly better than that in the Mackenzie therapy group compared with NDI between the two groups, but there was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).(3)Muscle strength:After 4 weeks of intervention, the muscle strength of the cervical joint exercise group and the Mc Kenzie therapy group was significantly higher than that before the intervention(P<0.01),and the muscle strength improvement between the two groups was slightly better than that of the cervical joint exercise group, but there was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).(4)ROM: After 4 weeks of intervention, the ROM of the cervical joint exercise group and the Mc Kenzie therapy group was significantly higher than that before the intervention(P<0.01),and the ROM value improvement in the cervical joint exercise group was slightly better than that in the Mackenzie therapy group, but there was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).(5)RMS: After four weeks of intervention,RMS in the cervical joint exercise group and the Mc Kenzie group was significantly higher than before the intervention(P<0.01),and the RMS improvement in the cervical joint exercise group was slightly better than that in the Mc Kenzie therapy group compared RMS between the two groups, but there was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).(6)ROM:After 4 weeks of intervention, the ROM of the cervical joint exercise group and the Mc Kenzie therapy group were significantly higher than those before the intervention(P<0.01).The ROM comparison between the two groups showed the degree of improvement in the cervical spine joint exercise group.Slightly better than the Mc Kenzie treatment group, but there was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).Conclusion:(1)Cervical joint exercise and Mc Kenzie therapy can significantly reduce the pain of patients with cervical cervical spondylosis, and can effectively improve NDI,cervical deep flexor endurance test, muscle strength, cervical joint mobility, sternocleidomastoid muscle and head clamp muscle RMS.(2)Cervical joint exercise and Mc Kenzie therapy have similar efficacy, and are consistent in improving pain,NDI,cervical deep flexor endurance, muscle strength, joint mobility, sternocleidomastoid muscle and cephalic clamp muscle RMS,but cervical joint exercise is easy to learn, easy to practice, not limited to places and instruments, conducive to the popularization of the implementation in the population,in addition, cervical joint exercise can fully mobilize their own subjective initiative, can prevent and reduce the recurrence of the disease, and the safety is also higher, worthy of clinical promotion.
