| In recent years, with the increasing investment in marine science and technology and the continuous development of marine resources, the marine economic benefits of Shandong Province have been steadily improved, but the pressure on marine ecological environment has also increased, and the marine ecosystem has been damaged and the biodiversity has been reduced, and these problems have affected the high-quality and sustainable development of Shandong Province’s marine economy to a certain extent. This paper constructs the marine ecological carrying capacity measurement model and evaluation index system, and analyzes the development of marine ecological carrying capacity from multiple perspectives based on the marine data of Shandong Province from2006 to 2019.The research results show that(1)the marine ecological carrying capacity of Shandong Province from 2006 to 2019 is on an upward trend, with an average annual rise of 5.39%.The marine ecological carrying capacity was in the overload state in 2010,and the rest of the years were in the loadable and empty state.(2)The marine ecological carrying capacity of five representative coastal cities in Shandong Province is on an upward trend, and all of them are influenced by the marine development intensity to the greatest extent among the state indicators.Based on the classification of the contribution of state indicators, coastal cities can be roughly divided into the following three categories:Yantai and Rizhao are socially dominant;Dongying is ecologically dominant;Qingdao and Weihai are technology dominant.(3)As of 2019,the integrated total supply level of marine ecology in Shandong Province lags behind that of Tianjin,Jiangsu and Zhejiang Province, while the integrated total demand index is only lower than that of Hebei Province. In terms of the overall level over 14 years, the average annual growth rate of marine ecological carrying capacity of Shandong Province is higher than that of Liaoning Province in North China, higher than that of Guangdong and Hainan Province in South China, and lower than that of all coastal provinces in East China.(4)Eight indicators of marine crude oil production, seashore sand production, regional gross marine product,sea-related employment, international standard container throughput of coastal ports, growth rate of marine production value, mariculture area and number of oil production wells have particularly significant effects on marine ecological carrying capacity of Shandong Province.(5)The prediction results show that the marine ecological carrying capacity level of Shandong Province is steadily increasing on the whole, will remain in a loadable state and gradually enter the stage of high-quality sustainable development. |
