Exploration And Application Of Spontaneous Controlled Bubble Technology In Kiln Made Cast Glass

The bubbles in glass art often trigger discussions among creators,with some believing that bubbles are a flaw in glass,while others believe that bubbles are precisely the highlight of glass.Currently,"bubble removal technology" and "controlled bubble technology" have been developed worldwide.These two different cognitions are like the front and back of a coin,and they will change under different needs,so they need to be treated dialectically.Currently,the research and application of "controlled bubble technology" in glass art in China is very limited.Therefore,this article conducts in-depth research on the "controlled bubble technology".During the research process,methods such as literature review,case analysis,and experimental research were used.A controlled bubble technology has been developed for application in kiln cast glass.The author named this new technology "Spontaneous Controlled Bubble Technology" and applied this technology to produce a series of works to demonstrate the value and potential of this new technology.This article is divided into three chapters.The first chapter first studies the essence of bubbles and the factors that affect bubbles in kiln cast glass,providing a clear understanding of bubbles in glass art.Next,familiarize yourself with the operation process of controlled bubble technology by sorting it out,and then analyze representative works of artists to understand their personal understanding of controlled bubble technology;Chapter 2 verifies the feasibility and possibility of the "Spontaneous Controlled Bubble Technology" through practice.Chapter 3 compares and analyzes the existing "controlled bubble technology" and "spontaneous controlled bubble technology",and elaborates on the value of "spontaneous controlled bubble technology".The controlled bubble technology in glass art,in addition to its initial decorative function,has been endowed with different connotations through the application of different artists,reflecting the artist’s understanding and thinking about the surrounding world.In glass art,technology and concepts are an eternal topic,and I believe that going to the extreme of either technology or concept will plunge oneself into a swamp.Everyone needs to find a balance between the two in order to have greater development on the path of glass art.
