In recent years,Bitcoin has received increasing attention because its completely decentralized nature and the openness,transparency,traceability,and non tampering of trading information.With the rise of Bitcoin’s market value,a large number of professional equipment has flooded into the Bitcoin network to participate in mining,and miners choose to join the mining pool in order to obtain stable profits.In order to attract more miners,mining pools with competitive relationships use an attack method called block withholding attack.In this context,many scholars use game theory to study the impact of the selection strategy of the mining pools under the block withholding attack on the mining pools and miners.However,these studies are usually based on two mining pools,and the conclusions drawn are not entirely suitable for the actual number of mining pools.In response to the above issues,this article mainly does the following work:1.Propose a new evolutionary game model.In the context of block withholding attacks,this article addresses the shortcomings and limitations of existing game models,combines the characteristics of evolutionary games,considers the real mining process,and the interaction between miners and mining pools,and proposes a new evolutionary game model.The minimum computing power requirement for adding to the mining pools has been optimized,and the concept of unit hash computing power income density has been introduced.In the scenario of a dual mining pools,theoretical analysis is conducted on the proposed model,which is validated through simulation experiments and compared with existing evolutionary game models to prove the rationality of the proposed model in this paper.2.Successfully apply the evolutionary game model proposed to the analysis of multiple mining pool selection strategies in this article.In the scenario of multiple mining pools,the identities of mining pools in different states were divided,and the benefits of mining pools with different identities under multiple selection strategies were explored.Numerical simulation experiments were conducted to prove the benefits.Combined with the dynamic changes in the number of miners in the mining pool,the gains under different selection strategies were given.
