At present,how to reduce the coupling effect between the array elements of the array antenna is an important direction to improve the performance of the array antenna.Using metamaterial structures can effectively reduce the coupling effect between array elements.Therefore,it is of great value to introduce metamaterial structures into the array antenna to improve its coupling effect.In this thesis,based on the in-depth analysis of metamaterial characteristics,three decoupling methods are used to optimize the polarization coupling effect and multi-frequency coupling effect of array antennas.Firstly,in terms of polarization coupling,based on the split resonant ring metamaterial structure,combined with the equivalent S-parameter extraction method,the polarization coupling effect of the circularly polarized array antenna is optimized and simulated by improving the three-layer split-ring metamaterial structure.Secondly,in the aspect of multi-frequency coupling,the decoupling effect of the metamaterial structure is used to improve the coupling effect of the C-shaped interlocking metamaterial structure based on the interdigitated metamaterial structure.Based on the mushroom-shaped electromagnetic bandgap structure,the Brillouin zone analysis method is adopted to improve the coupling effect of the zigzag electromagnetic bandgap structure using the decoupling effect of the electromagnetic bandgap structure.Based on the dumbbell-shaped defected ground structure,the equivalent circuit method is used to improve the coupling effect of the trident-shaped defected ground structure using the decoupling effect of the defected ground structure.And the above three improved decoupling structures are combined to optimize and simulate the multi-frequency coupling effect of the multi-frequency array antenna.The simulation results show that in terms of polarization coupling,the circular polarization characteristics are kept basically unchanged,and the coupling effect is reduced by 18.3 dB.And in terms of multi-frequency coupling,the return loss remains basically unchanged,and the coupling effects in high,medium,and low frequency bands are reduced by 5.81dB,14.61dB,and 24.74dB,respectively.Therefore,this paper can provide a theoretical reference for the research and design of array antennas.
