| Urban systems are complex and vulnerable to disasters, the most pronounced of which are natural disasters. As an important node of the "Belt and Road" and one of the cores of the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin Cities Economic Circle,Chongqing is an important economic center in China. As a typical mountainous city in China,Chongqing is greatly affected by natural disasters, because of its special topographic characteristics(mainly mountainous and large terrain slope)and climatic characteristics(monsoon climate with abundant rainfall and concentrated rainy season),landslide disasters often occur during concentrated rainfall periods, causing serious casualties and economic losses to the city.As the center of economic construction, the sudden and uncertain landslide disaster in the central urban area of Chongqing has brought a lot of pressure to the stability and sustainable development of Chongqing. In the face of disasters,a city’s ability to cope directly affects the extent of damage to the city,in short, improving urban resilience is a top priority. In this thesis, aiming to improve the resilience of Chongqing’s central urban area under the impact of landslide disasters and promote its stable economic and social development, this thesis first constructs a targeted resilience assessment index system, uses random forest model, entropy weight method, and optimal sequence graph method to calculate the resilience of nine urban areas in central Chongqing from 2014 to 2020,and uses spatial analysis technology to explore their spatiotemporal variation characteristics. Then, based on the geographic detector model and the barrier model, the interaction between the barriers and factors of the urban resilience influencing factors was analyzed, and then the weak areas and weak links of the resilience construction in the central urban area of Chongqing were explored. Finally, based on the analysis results,a targeted strategy for improving the resilience of Chongqing’s central urban area under the impact of landslide disasters is proposed. The main achievements of the thesis are:(1)Scientifically constructed the index system for assessing the resilience of Chongqing’s central urban area under the impact of landslide disasters.Deeply understand the concept of urban resilience and the mechanism of landslide disaster, and synthesize the characteristics of Chongqing’s new urbanization pilot cities, and divide the resilience assessment process into three stages: before, during and after the disaster.31 indicators were selected to construct an urban resilience assessment index system for Chongqing’s central urban area under the impact of landslide disasters based on pre-disaster prevention ability, disaster resistance ability,post-disaster recovery ability and learning ability.(2)The temporal and spatial distribution of resilience in central Chongqing under the impact of landslide disasters from 2014 to 2020 was empirically analyzed.Temporal changes: From 2014 to 2020,in the central urban area of Chongqing, the response capacity of nine cities in all stages of the landslide disaster continued to improve; The overall resilience of cities is increasing and improving at an increasing rate. The results show that since Chongqing’s central urban area was used as a pilot of new urbanization, urban development has continued to improve, and the level of urban resilience has been continuously improved and the development speed has become faster and faster.Spatial distribution: In the central urban area of Chongqing under the impact of landslide disasters, the urban resilience of Yuzhong District has always been stable at a level much higher than that of other districts and counties. The urban resilience of Yubei District is at a medium to high level, and its resilience improvement rate is much higher than that of other regions. The resilience of the Dadukou area is at a low level. From the perspective of spatial distribution, the level of urban resilience construction in the central urban area of Chongqing varies greatly between regions, and the coordination of regional development needs to be further improved.(3)The degree of resilience factor barrier and interaction of Chongqing’s central urban area under the impact of landslide disaster were quantitatively analyzed. When a landslide disaster hits a landslide in the central urban area of Chongqing, urban resilience is related to many factors. The results of obstacle model detection showed that the amount of information on education, economy, landslide publicity and urban roads, drainage pipe networks, emergency shelters and other factors had a large degree of obstacles.Geographic detector analysis results: The interaction between economic factors and the remaining factors is strong.Overall, the main resilience barriers in the nine central urban areas were less different.(4)Reasonably put forward the strategy of improving the resilience of Chongqing’s central urban area. The strategy of improving urban resilience is proposed from three aspects: first, give full play to the leading role of Yuzhong District and Yubei District, guide weak areas to learn from them, and promote the improvement of resilience and coordination in Chongqing’s central urban area;Second, improve the level of education, increase the publicity of landslide disasters, and enhance the safety awareness and response ability of residents in cities;Third, closely follow economic development, vigorously improve disaster relief infrastructure, and enhance urban response capabilities. |
