Investigation And Risk Analysis Of Alien Invasive Species In Hunan Region Of The Yangtze River Economic Belt

In recent years,with deepening economic globalization and intensifying external spacetime communication,the phenomenon of alien biological invasion has become more frequent,which seriously endangers the ecological security of the invaded areas.China has become one of the countries suffering most from invasive alien species.The annual economic and environmental losses caused by invasive alien organisms in China are estimated at around 120 billion yuan,with current losses as high as 200 billion yuan.Taking seriously the severe challenge posed by biological invasion,the Chinese government has formulated and implemented the Biosafety Law of the People’s Republic of China.In order to serve the highquality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt,as well as effectively investigate and monitor alien invasive species in the Hunan region of the Yangtze River Economic Belt,Hunan Province has approved the project of Investigation of Alien Invasive Species in the Hunan Region of the Yangtze River Economic Belt,in accordance with the Outline of the Development Plan of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.This study investigated the alien invasive species in the Hunan region of the Yangtze River Economic Belt(Changsha,Yiyang,Yueyang and Changde),focusing on their variety,occurrence,distribution and invasion risk.The investigation of invasive species in the Hunan region of the Yangtze River Economic Belt was carried out for the first time through field survey,visiting survey and Internet survey.The results are as follows:1.Distribution of invasive alien species in Changsha,Yiyang,Changde and YueyangA total of 155 species from 71 families were found in Changsha,including 116 species of invasive plants from 38 families,32 species of invasive animals from 27 families,and 7species of invasive microorganisms from 6 families.A total of 82 invasive species from 37 families were found in the Yueyang area,including 76 invasive plants from 31 families and 6invasive animals from 6 families.A total of 58 alien invasive species from 26 families were found in Changde,including 51 invasive plants from 19 families and 7 invasive animals from7 families.A total of 79 alien invasive species from 33 families were found in the Yiyang area,including 73 invasive plants from 27 families and 6 invasive animals from 6 families.2.Survey results of alien invasive organisms in the area around Dongting LakeA total of 107 invasive plant species from 35 families were found in the area around Dongting Lake.According to their invasion risk,19 species were classified as malignant,24 as severe,15 as local,25 as general,and 24 as to be further observed.A total of 7 invasive animal species from 7 families were found in the area around Dongting Lake.3.Investigation results of alien invasive organisms in Hunan region of the Yangtze River Economic BeltA total of 146 invasive plant species from 40 families were found in Hunan region of the Yangtze River Economic Belt,with 24 species classified as malignant,29 as severe,18 as local,32 as general,and 43 as to be further observed.A total of 32 invasive animal species from 27 families and 7 invasive microbe species from 6 families were found.Based on the above results,as well as taking into consideration the survey list of alien invasive species in Hunan province in recent ten years,we conclude that the number of alien invasive species in Hunan region of the Yangtze River Economic Belt has increased rapidly,and that the ecological risk caused by invasive species has become very serious.
