In recent years,the demand in the field of underwater imaging has increased rapidly.the traditional intensity camera has obtained less image information and low application value,which can not meet the needs of practical applications.In a variety of underwater imaging technologies,underwater polarization imaging technology can distinguish the target from the background region according to the different polarization characteristics of the object,so it has become a research hotspot in recent years.The domestic research on the sharpening algorithm of underwater degraded image has made great progress in recent years,but the progress in underwater polarization imaging equipment is still slow.Most of them use traditional polarization detectors connected with computers,which are not convenient for underwater measurement.In addition,the turbidity grade of water body is also an indispensable important data index for the research of underwater polarization imaging and subsequent underwater degraded image sharpening algorithm,but there is relatively little research on water turbidity in China.The research and development of turbidity detection equipment is also very scarce.Therefore,according to the above requirements,an underwater polarization imaging and turbidity detection system is developed in this paper.The main work is as follows:the principle of polarized light and the transmission characteristics of light waves in natural water are investigated,which lays a foundation for underwater polarization image detection and turbidity detection.According to the analysis of the influencing factors of underwater polarization imaging,comparative experiments are carried out on the types of active light sources and targets,and the selection of active light sources and the polarization characteristics of targets of different materials are determined according to the experimental results.The existing theories and equipment of turbidity detection technology at home and abroad are studied and analyzed.after fully understanding the principle and method of turbidity measurement,the turbidity detector is designed by using the turbidity sensor based on the ratio method as the detection principle,which adds turbidity data to the research of underwater polarization imaging and related clarity algorithms.Based on the full investigation of the existing underwater polarization imaging systems and principles at home and abroad,a new type of underwater polarization detector is designed by using the time series polarization detection mode and the moving camera as the photosensitive element,which solves the problem of inflexibility and portability of the detector.it improves the accuracy of obtaining images and provides reliable image data for subsequent related sharpening algorithms.On the basis of the completion of the detection hardware,the underwater polarization imaging and turbidity detection system is built through three-dimensional guideway and other equipment.Through the effect of the images obtained by the detector in different turbidity experiments,the high,medium and low turbidity values are determined,and the underwater polarization imaging experiments of different material targets and different wave band filters in high,medium and low turbidity water bodies are designed.the feasibility and practicability of underwater polarization imaging and turbidity detection system are verified,and the experimental equipment and methods are improved through the experimental results.Make the interface of the experimental data integration system to provide detection equipment and data support for the follow-up laboratory related clarity algorithms.
