In order to achieve the communication requirements of large capacity,high speed and long distance of optical fiber optical communication,related devices need to have higher performance;At the same time,in order to meet the requirements of modern optical integration,optical devices are gradually developing towards miniaturization,and all fiber optic devices have become a research hotspot.Fiber optic polarizer is one of the key devices in optical communication,which can separate light with different polarization directions,thereby achieving the regulation and processing of optical signals;To promote fiber optic communication devices and achieve higher extinction ratio and lower insertion loss,in order to improve the transmission efficiency and reliability of fiber optic communication.Due to the excellent optoelectronic properties of graphene,in order to fully utilize graphene materials,this article combines graphene with panda type optical fibers to study the birefringence and polarization characteristics of graphene panda type optical fibers,and prepare fiber polarizers.On the basis of summarizing the preparation methods of graphene and the research on graphene fiber polarizers,this article proposes a panda type fiber polarizer based on graphene,focusing on optimizing the existing preparation techniques of graphene fiber.At the same time,finite element method is used to analyze graphene panda type polarization maintaining fiber,theoretical research is conducted on graphene panda polarization maintaining fiber polarizers,and a polarization testing system is built,The main content of testing the polarization extinction ratio of graphene panda type fiber polarizers is as follows:Firstly,the structure and basic characteristics of graphene were studied,and the theoretical basis for the preparation of graphene optical fibers and fiber polarizers was elaborated.Starting from the lattice and band structure of graphene,the mechanism and structural parameters of graphene based fiber polarizers were studied through finite element simulation combined with fiber characteristics.Secondly,the preparation process of graphene optical fibers was studied,and the key technology of directly growing graphene in fiber holes based on chemical vapor deposition was studied.The focus was on the annealing technology of graphene optical fibers to improve the lattice defects of graphene optical fibers.Then,the transmission characteristics and birefringence characteristics of graphene panda shaped fiber after chemical etching were simulated and analyzed.The transmission characteristics and birefringence of graphene panda shaped fiber under electro-optic modulation are analyzed under the influence of chemical potential.Finally,the effects of incident light wavelength,graphene thickness,and corrosion depth on the performance of graphene panda shaped fiber polarizers were simulated and analyzed.At the same time,graphene panda type fibers were prepared,and a polarization testing system was established to test the polarization extinction ratio of graphene panda type fibers.
