With the depletion of fossil energy and the improvement of ocean strategic position,the development and utilization of ocean energy has attracted great attention all over the world.Tidal current power generation technology has become the fastest developing branch of marine energy utilization technology among them.In recent years,Chinese tidal energy power generation technology has developed rapidly.With the continuous progress of tidal energy power generation technology,the demand for evaluation of tidal energy power generation devices is becoming more and more urgent.The power characteristics of tidal energy generation devices are an important index for evaluating power generation devices,The key to analyze the power characteristics of tidal current power generation device is to accurately obtain the input velocity characteristics of tidal current power generation device.The topography of the sea area where the tidal current power generation device is located is complex,so it is difficult to continuously and directly measure its velocity characteristics.Therefore,based on FVCOM(fine volume coast and ocean model)model,this paper simulates the tidal current in the sea area where the tidal current power generation device is located,compares the simulation results with the measured data,verifies and analyzes them,and obtains the input velocity conditions at the tidal current power generation device.After the simulation,the power characteristic analysis method of tidal current power generation device is optimized,and the velocity data obtained by numerical simulation is analyzed and processed by bean method.The power characteristic curve of tidal current power generation device is drawn by combining the velocity data obtained by numerical simulation with the measured electric power data,The annual input energy,conversion efficiency and annual power generation of tidal current power generation device are calculated.Through calculation,the average conversion efficiency of the tidal current energy power generation device during flood tide period is 34.95%,the average conversion efficiency during ebb tide period is 36.85%,the total annual input energy is 808066 k Wh,and the total annual power generation is280640 kWh.
