| Anti-resonant hollow-core Fibers(AR-HCFs),as a new type of light-conducting micro-structure fiber, are constructed with special cladding structure of optical materials to achieve wide-band laser transmission with low loss, low nonlinearity, low dispersion and low delay in the air fiber Core.It is one of the most active research hotspots in fiber optics and is expected to completely solve the limitations of optical materials in fiber technology and application. Its excellent optical properties have a wide range of practical applications in ultra-fast light source, high power laser, fiber sensing,light-gas interaction and other aspects.Compared with the traditional fiber, the complex microstructure characteristics of hollow core anti-resonant fiber lead to considerable loss and difficulty in the fusion of hollow core anti-resonant fiber with other types of fiber, which restricts the application and expansion of hollow core anti-resonant fiber in many fields to a certain extent. In different application scenarios,it is of great research value and significance to realize low loss fusion between special hollow core anti-resonant fiber and other special-shaped fiber. In this paper, the low loss fusion technology between hollow core anti-resonant fiber and different fibers is studied theoretically and experimentally, and the key parameters and processes in the fusion process are systematically studied. The main research contents are as follows:1.The characteristics and development trend of hollow core anti-resonant fiber are systematically summarized, and the research on low loss fusion technology of hollow core anti-resonant fiber and special-shaped fiber is described, and the key factors and parameters in the process of low loss fusion are summarized and analyzed. Finally, the application range of hollow core anti-resonant fiber is analyzed.2.The mode field information of the hollow core anti-resonant fiber was numerically simulated by using the finite element theory, and the coupling loss between the hollow core anti-resonant fiber and the ordinary single-mode fiber was theoretically analyzed. After fully considering the relevant parameters and factors, the fusion coupling loss was4.6 d B.The arc method was used to fuse the hollow core anti-resonant fiber and the ordinary single-mode fiber. The measured results show that the optical loss from the ordinary single-mode fiber to the hollow core anti-resonant fiber is 2-4 d B,which is in accordance with the theoretical analysis results. The fused fiber sample was subjected to a standard tensile test with a tensile strength of 140 g(32 kpsi).3.Based on hollow core anti-resonant fiber and polarization-maintaining single-mode fiber for low loss fusion, the optical loss from the polarization-maintaining fiber to the direction of the hollow core anti-resonant fiber is 1-2 d B in the wide spectral range of1450-2000 nm.The fused fiber samples were subjected to a standard tensile test with a damage threshold of 100 g(24 kpsi). At the same time, the polarization purity of the hollow core anti-resonant fiber fused with the polarization maintaining fiber is studied, and the polarization extinction ratio is about 10 dB. |
