Study On Formation Mechanism Of Strike-Slip Faults In Tazhong And Tabei Uplift Based On Physical Simulation | | Posted on:2023-11-23 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:Z J Peng | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2530307163492154 | Subject:Geological engineering | | Abstract/Summary: | | | Ordovician carbonate strike slip faults are developed in Tazhong and Tabei areas,which play an obvious role in controlling reservoir and reservoir.Therefore,the study on the genetic mechanism of strike slip faults is important for exploration of oil and gas in this area.Based on the full investigation of the genetic,this paper establishes a scientific experimental model by using seismic data and logging data,carries out physical simulation experiments,and comprehensively studies the deformation evolution process of strike slip faults in Tazhong and Tabei uplift.The following results are obtained:(1)four groups of experimental models are designed by controlling variable method,The experimental data show that the characteristic of the strike slip fault is mainly related to the changes of vertical stratigraphic properties(stratification)and multi-stage activities(stages).Both vertical stratification and strike slip stages can cause the characteristics of the strike slip fault.(2)In order to explore the development process and formation mechanism of Tazhong uplift strike slip fault system,three groups of three-dimensional sandbox physical simulation experiments are designed and completed.The experimental results show that Tazhong uplift strike slip fault may be a strike slip differential system formed by differential extrusion of thrust fault.(3)According to the development process and formation mechanism of strike slip fault system in Tabei uplift,five groups of threedimensional sandbox physical simulation experiments are designed and finished.The experimental data are analyzed.Combined with the gravity and magnetic characteristics of Tarim Basin,it shows that the formation of small angle conjugate strike slip fault in Tabei uplift may be related to the development of NW trending pre-existing strike slip fault. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Tazhong Uplift, Tabei Uplift, Physical Simulation, Strike-slip Fault, Formation Mechanism | | Related items |
