| In the daily life, the projector has been used in the conference room, the dazzling stage lights on the stage and the movie theater. The projector lamp which was the light source, was first developed by PHILPS in 1995.Because its high brightness, long life and low calorific value, the original metal halogen lamp has been replaced quickly. In spite of the impact of the new light source of LED and laser, the projector lamp still been held the dominant position of the projector light source.Compared with the new light source, the short life of the projector lamp was the weakest link. How to predict the life of the projection lamp had important sense.Firstly, this paper introduces the structure, its working principle of the projector lamp and the standard of luminous flux as the basis of life. Then, the integration ball measurement method has the advantages of high efficiency and low cost by comparing two kinds of luminous flux detection methods,so it is been selected as the method of measuring the luminous flux.Secondly, after the failure analysis of the projector lamp with E20.9-230 w,the main failure modes has been found. The relationship between the temperature of the bubble blacking and the relationship between the electrode distance and the lamp voltage been studied and analyzed. The specific way of its impact on the life been made clear. Finally,a life model for the fast prediction of the projector lamp was established, and the sample was tested under the condition of the current frequency which was the applied stress. The failure standard was set that the attenuation of the sample light flux was decrease to the 50% of its initial luminous flux. After analyzing the experimental results, the characteristic life of samples was found under different current frequencies. In order to verify the accuracy of life prediction,a correlation experiment was carried out.The results of the experiment were almost identical with the life expectancy predicted by the model. Thus, the feasibility of the prediction model was authentic. |
