Dendrimer is a highly branched three-dimensional compound.It has a core and branches extending from the core,a large number of surface functional groups,and controllable size.These characteristics make it have many applications in the medical and chemical fields,which has aroused widespread concern in the scientific community.In order to improve the purity of polyamide-amine(PAMAM)dendrimer,we optimized the synthesis conditions of the low-generation dendrimer(-0.5~0 generation),which shortened the synthesis time and increased the purity of the dendrimer.Then we continued to synthesize higher generation dendrimers(3~4 generations).Based on the previous studies,the purification methods of dendrimers were further integrated and improved.Some necessary preparations for the subsequent modifications and applications of dendrimers were made.The product was characterized by Fourier-infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC)and chemical titration in this.study。Eicosapentaenoic acid(EPA),an unsaturated fatty acid with anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties,is almost insoluble in water,which greatly limits its application.In this study,dendrimers with different generations and functional groups were synthesized and purified.The potential of PAMAM dendrimers to increase the solubility and anti-inflammatory ability of EPA was evaluated.The mechanism of PAMAM solubilizing EPA and the formation mechanism of the complex were discussed.Results showed that the dendrimer generation,surface functional group,concentration of solution,and p H of aqueous medium had some effects on the solubility of drug molecules.Furthermore,dendrimers can improve the anti-inflammatory properties of EPA.The amino-terminated dendrimer was modified to give a4-methoxycarbonylpyrrolidone modified dendrimer(PAMAM-Pyr).This dendrimer combines the characteristics of traditional amino-terminated dendrimers with the linear polymer-based vinylpyrrolidone(PVP).The nano-particles(Ag-NPs)were prepared by using the dendritic molecules as templates.The effects of the generation of dendrimers and templates on the size and distribution of nano-silver were explored.The catalytic performance of this composite was studied.The results showed that PAMAM-Pyr was a good template for the preparation of nano-metal particles,and higher algebraic dendrimers exhibited better properties.Catalytic performance studies showed that the metal nanomaterials had good catalytic activity in the catalytic reduction of 4-aminophenol to4-nitrophenol.
