With the rapid economic development and continuous improvement of science and technology,road engineering put forward higher requirements for asphalt materials.Epoxy resin modified asphalt,referred to as epoxy asphalt,through the asphalt by adding epoxy resin and curing agent modifier,after the curing reaction to form a thermoset product,thus fundamentally changing the thermoplasticity of asphalt to give the asphalt material excellent high and low temperature performance and water stability,has a very wide range of applications.However,problems such as the epoxy asphalt has poor compatibility with the asphalt,the preparation process is involuted,the curing agent and the epoxy resin reaction time is difficult to control and the like is an objective reality.In this paper,using expanded graphite to adsorb epoxy resin and curing agent,the epoxy resin and curing agent in the form of expanded graphite solid particles added to asphalt,to modified asphalt,can improve the uniformity of epoxy dispersion,simplify the construction process and improve construction controllability.First,in this paper,the adsorption mechanism and adsorption process of expanded graphite were studied.The optimum process for the adsorption of epoxy resin and curing agent on expanded graphite was obtained from the aspects of adsorption ratio,temperature,time and so on.Resin for asphalt modification feasibility.Secondly,Supported-type epoxy asphalt(The epoxy resin was prepared by the method of this thesis)what epoxy resin content is 5%,10%,15%,20% was prepared.The distribution of epoxy resin in asphalt was analyzed by fluorescence microscopy,compared the bond strength and interlaminar shear strength and found that the Supported-type epoxy asphalt is better than ordinary epoxy asphalt.The high temperature performance,low temperature performance and adhesion performance of the two kinds of epoxy asphalt mortar(rate of filler and asphalt is 0.8)were compared and analyzed.The results showed that the high temperature performance and the adhesion performance of the Supported-type epoxy asphalt mortar were higher than the ordinary epoxy asphalt mortar,while the low temperature performance was slightly lower.Finally,the Supported-type epoxy asphalt with 10% epoxy content was prepared and compared with that of ordinary epoxy asphalt mixture.The results showed that the Supported-type epoxy asphalt mixture Materials mechanical properties,high temperature performance,water stability is superior to ordinary epoxy asphalt mixture,and low temperature performance is slightly poor,thus verifying the previous conclusions.
