Silane coupling agents are kind of characteristic compounds in organosilicon products. They are composed of carbon-functional groups and silicon-functional groups in molecules. The unique molecular structures allow them to couple two materials with different properties, thus improving properties of the material.Due to the low surface energy and lack of active groups of non-polar materials, the traditional silane coupling agents cannot produce good adhesion on their surfaces. In recent years, with the development of industry, the development of new coupling agents to meet the special needs of different fields and different materials is an urgent problem to be solved.Catechol has unique bisphenol groups, and thus have excellent adhesion to a variety of substrates. In this thesis, based on silane coupling agents,we incorporated catechol group,to obtain a new type of bisphenol functionalized silanes, and studied their performance including the following two aspects of research.1.Using y-aminopropyl methyl diethoxylsilane and 3,4 dihydroxybenzaldehyde as raw materials, bisphenol functionalized silane ADES-CA with imine group was prepared and characterized by FT-IR and 1H NMR.Using ADES-CA as the raw material,P-CA containing catechenyl group was obtained.By optimizing the preparation process and curing process of the base coating, the bonding strength of RTV silicone rubber to surface modified polyimide with low surface energy was up to 2.21mpa,which was 101.8%higher than that of surface unmodified polyimide. At the same time,P-CA shows good applicability to all kinds of substrates and can significantly improve the water resistance of adhesive joints.2.In order to further improve the performance of bisphenol functionalized silane, amide groups were introduced into the molecular structure to further improve the bonding performance of bisphenol functionalized silane.γ-mercaptopropyl trimethoxysilane and N-3,4-dihydroxyethyl acrylamide were used as raw materials to synthesize bisphenol functionalized silane MTMS-DA with amide groups, and successful synthesis was verified by FT-IR and 1H NMR.Then the primer P-DA was prepared with MTMS-DA as the main raw material. The bonding properties are further improved due to the presence of amide groups and higher content of catechol groups.RTV silicone rubber PDMS-DA was prepared by introducing MTMS-DA as a crosslinking agent. It is found that PDMS-CA has excellent mechanical properties and bonding properties due to the interaction between catecheol and amide groups.
