As the key component of wind power capture,blade has complex operating conditions and loads.Good blade structure and aerodynamic performance are the key to ensure safe and stable operation of wind turbine.In order to obtain excellent performance,the wind turbine blades are mainly made of fiber reinforced composites,and the lamination sequence,thickness and distribution of the composite material has a great influence on the performance of the blades.This paper mainly researches the optimization problem of composite material laminate of wind turbine blades.The main contents are as follows.(1)The composition and lamination structure of composites for wind turbine blades are researched in this paper.The classical lamination theory of fiber reinforced composite material is introduced and the lamination principle and failure criteria of composite laminates are elaborated.(2)Comprehensively elaborates the optimization of wind turbine blade composite lamination and establishes the mathematical model of the optimization problem.Solutions for optimization of wind turbine blade composite lamination are proposed from the perspectives of lamination distribution,sequence and thickness.(3)The wind turbine blade composite material is divided into several areas.By optimizing the partition scheme of blade layering area,the utilization ratio of composite material is improved and the lightweight of blade is realized.Inspired by computer imagery,an optimization method for composite lamination area of wind turbine blades based on area splitting/merging principle was proposed,and the optimization model for blade area was solved based on genetic algorithm.(4)According to the parameters such as laminate thickness and laminate sequence of wind turbine blade composite material,a mathematical model for optimizing the laminate thickness/laminate sequence of wind turbine blade oriented to the total mass,strength,stiffness and manufacturing process are established,and the general process and method for optimizing the laminate thickness/laminate sequence of wind turbine blade based on genetic algorithm is given.Finally,The 13.2MW wind turbine blade is taken as the research object.The afore mentioned methods are applied to optimize the composite lamination.The optimization results show that the performance of the optimized wind turbine blades can meet the requirements,and lightweight blades are realized,which verifies the feasibility of the method specification in this paper.
