The rapid development of urbanization has brought environmental problems such as biodiversity reduction and severe weather, but it is also one of the ways to solve environmental problems.Exploring the correlation between urbanization and environmental quality in China can provide scientific arguments for effectively regulating urbanization and achieving a balance between human development and environmental protection.Firstly, this paper uses the PSR model to construct an evaluation system of urbanization level and environmental quality from five aspects of population, land, economy, society and ecology, and conducts a spatiotemporal analysis of the pressure indicators for evaluating environmental quality.A comprehensive evaluation of the level of urbanization and environmental quality is carried out.The evaluation results show that the level of urbanization in my country is increasing year by year, and the level of economic urbanization and social urbanization has grown the most rapidly, but the overall urbanization level is still low.At the same time, the level of urbanization in different regions is quite different, showing a serious regional imbalance. The environmental quality has been continuously improved, the emission intensity of pollutants has been reduced, and preliminary results have been achieved in environmental governance.Secondly, the STIRPAT model is used to empirically analyze the dynamic relationship between urbanization and environmental quality. The results show that the impact of new urbanization on environmental quality is a positive promoting effect, which is reflected in five aspects: population, land, economy, society and ecology.New-type urbanization has the greatest positive effect on environmental quality, while economic urbanization has the least positive effect.Other aspects of urbanization have a positive effect, but the difference is not significant.Thirdly,a coupling coordination model of urbanization and environmental quality is established to study their coordinated development. The research results show that the degree of coupling and coordination between urbanization level and environmental quality is constantly improving, but the growth rate shows a fluctuating decline. The degree of coupling coordination in each province has improved, and most provinces have improved from close to slightly coordinated. At the same time, the higher the coupling coordination degree, the more difficult it is to improve.Based on the research results of urbanization and environmental quality, using the urbanization level, environmental quality, and coupling coordination degree as indicators, the K-means cluster analysis method was used to divide 30 provinces(excluding Tibet)in my country. The impact and characteristics of regional urbanization on environmental quality. The results show that the subregional provinces basically conform to the distribution of east, middle and west, and adjacent provinces are more likely to have similar characteristics and have obvious regional differences. Finally, based on the results of zoning, the relationship between urbanization and environmental quality was analyzed by OLS method.Urbanization in different subregions has a promoting effect on environmental quality, but the degree is different. |
