Research On The Application Of Installation Art In Conceptual Fashion Design

With the progress of science and technology in contemporary society and the continuous improvement of people’s aesthetics,conceptual clothing is becoming an important way for designers to express their personal ideas.At the same time,installation art has developed rapidly in recent years,and it has become more and more influential in international contemporary art exhibitions.It breaks through the barriers of daily necessities and works of art,and has a unique and avant-garde art language.Installation art,which emphasizes the concept and thought of the creator,has a coincident similarity with conceptual fashion design.The combination of installation art and conceptual clothing makes the clothing present more abundant expression and artistic beauty,and brings a new way for the development of clothing design.Firstly,this paper expounds the definition of conceptual clothing,analyzes the similarities and differences between conceptual clothing and related concepts,and clarifies the design characteristics of conceptual clothing.The definition,development,techniques and characteristics of installation art are analyzed and discussed.Secondly,it analyzes the background and conditions of installation art’s involvement in conceptual clothing from three aspects: the boundary change between art and design,post-modern trend of thought,mass culture and aesthetics,and demonstrates the internal relationship between the two from two aspects of difference and relevance.Thirdly,combined with design cases,this paper focuses on the application and theme composition of installation art in conceptual fashion design,which is explored from four aspects of form language,material language,space and behavior,means and thinking.Based on the above research,this paper tries to sort out the design path of the application of installation art in conceptual clothing,so as to carry out certain design application and scheme analysis.Combined with the environment of The Times and the trend of the fashion industry,finally,this paper puts forward its own thoughts and prospects on the application of installation art in conceptual fashion design,hoping to provide some innovative ideas and theoretical basis for contemporary fashion designers to carry out conceptual fashion design and promote the diversified development of the fashion design industry.
