Electrolytic manganese residue containing a large amount of harmful elements but based on its contain lots of manganese can be recycled and dihydrate gypsum and silicate material also can be used as a research and development of high porosity, high strength aggregate of porous ceramic materials, porous filter material to replace quartz sand and other materials use din wastewater treatment, reduce thecostof wastewater treatment, achievethepurposeof thetreated waste,,ltisof greatsignificancetopromotethe sustainabledevelopmentof manganeseindustryandimpro vetheefficiencyof water treatment. In this paper, electrolytic manganese slag is taken as the ma in raw material of porousceramics, and the influenceof the typeandcontentof pore-formingagenta nd binderonthepreparationandperformanceofporousceramicmaterialsisstudied.Meanwhile, theinflue nceofsinteringtemperature, sinteringtime, formingpressure, particlesizeofrawmaterialandotherprepar ationconditionsonthemoldingand performance of porous materials is also studied. And the influence of raw material particle size, preparation technology und er single pore-making agent and composite pore-making agent on thestructur eand propertiesof porous ceramics. The mainconclusions areas follows:1,electrolytic manganese slag particles good plasticity. The main components were silicon dioxide and manganese oxide, accounting for 46.6%and 26.7%,respectively.The average particle size of the material is 22.957μm.The material is loose, mainly granular, and the particle distribution is relatively uniform, indicating that the main crystal phase in the material is silica, and there is no other miscellaneous phase.2.Sintering temperature, sintering time and pore-making agent conte nt have certain effectsonthestructureandpropertiesofporousceramics.Theoptimumsinteri ng temperatureis970 C,theoptimumsinteringtimeis3handtheoptimumamountof pore-for ming agent is 10wt%.3.Attapulgite,bentoniteandkaolinhaveacertaineffectonthepropertiesand structure of porous ceramic spheres. The properties of porous ceramics, such as porosity, can be affected by the addition of binder, but the mechanical properties can be optimized.Among them, the mechanical properties of kaolinite improved the most. With the addition of pore-formingagent,theimprovementof mechanicalpropertiesofstarch-bentonite binderisbetterthanthatof kaoliniteandattapulgite.Dolomite-kaolinitebindercan improve the mechanical properties better than bentonite and attapulgite.4.The ranking of factors affected by porosity, water absorption and volume density is basicallythesame.Themostinfluentialfactoristheamountof starch, andtheleast influentialfactoristhesinteringtime.Intermsofcompressivestrength, sintering temperature is the most influential factor, and the amount of binder kaolin has a relatively small impact on compressive strength compared with the other four factors. The adsorption properties of the porous ceramic materials show that the porous ceramic materials have certainadsorptionpropertiesformanykindsof heavymetalions, andhavepotential applications in the field of wastewater treatment.
