Yellow River Basin is a key area for ecological protection and high-quality development in China.Historically,the industrial base of Yellow River Basin is relatively weak.Most provinces and regions in the basin take the exploitation of energy resources as the basis for economic development.The long-term development model of energy industry has led to the low overall economic level of Yellow River Basin,the lack of industrial support with high scientific and technological content and high level of innovation,and the lack of sustainability in economic development.With the rapid development of economy,the ecological environment of Yellow River Basin has become an important constraint on its economic and social development.The development of regional innovation needs a specific ecosystem.Driven by the concept of green development,as an important ecological barrier region in China,the economic development of Yellow River Basin faces urgent requirements for green innovation and development,and faces more arduous tasks of transformation and upgrading.Building a harmonious and symbiotic green innovation ecosystem will help Yellow River Basin to solve this dilemma and achieve high-quality development.This paper takes Yellow River Basin as the research object,selects the relevant data of nine provinces and regions flowing through Yellow River Basin from 2011 to2020,discusses the connotation characteristics and population symbiosis connotation of the green innovation ecosystem in Yellow River Basin,builds the corresponding indicator system based on the concept of green development and the characteristics of Yellow River Basin,and uses the three-dimensional Lotka-Volterra model to evaluate the population symbiosis relationship of the green innovation ecosystem in Yellow River Basin.Then,the fs QCA method is used to explore the multiple concurrent causal paths of the optimization for the population symbiosis relationship of the green innovation ecosystem in Yellow River Basin based on the configuration perspective.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)The green innovation ecosystem in Yellow River Basin has three innovation populations: innovation research and development population,innovation application population and innovation support population.The three innovation populations play the roles of “producer”,“consumer” and “decomposer” respectively in the system.Through different green innovation activities,they interdependently forming a complex symbiotic relationship,and jointly promoting the function maximization of the entire green innovation ecosystem.(2)The green innovation ecosystem in Yellow River Basin has different symbiotic relationships of reciprocal symbiosis,reverse resistance and parasitism between two different innovation populations in different time and space.The two-dimensional interaction between the innovation application population and the innovation support population is good.However,on the whole,the green innovation ecosystem in Yellow River Basin has not yet appeared the mutualism and symbiosis of three species,so the symbiosis relationship among the green innovation ecosystem in Yellow River Basin needs further optimization.(3)Based on the analysis,this paper puts forward “concerted effort” type of green innovation(R&D innovation* ×application innovation*× social participation*× environmental support*)and “practical”green innovation(~R&D innovation× application innovation*× social participation*×~environmental support)two paths for the optimization of the green innovation ecosystem population symbiosis relationship in Yellow River Basin.The paths show that to achieve a high level of population symbiosis of the green innovation ecosystem in Yellow River Basin,it is necessary to jointly carry out green innovation activities with three major populations,constantly enhance independent research and innovation,focus on improving the ability of application innovation,fully mobilize the enthusiasm of the community to participate in green innovation,and build a sustainable development innovation environment.These research conclusions will provide decision-making reference for the optimization and innovation policy formulation of the green innovation ecosystem in Yellow River Basin,and provide reference for the high-quality development practice of the economy in Yellow River Basin.The main innovations of this paper are as follows: Firstly,analyzing the connotation of the green innovation ecosystem in Yellow River Basin,clarify that there are innovation research and development population,innovation application population and innovation support population in the green innovation ecosystem of Yellow River Basin,and expand the relevant research on the regional green innovation ecosystem;Secondly,the research on the population symbiosis of the green innovation ecosystem of Yellow River Basin makes up for the lack of research on the population symbiosis of the regional innovation ecosystem from the perspective of green development;Thirdly,using the fs QCA method,from the perspective of configuration,the optimization path of population symbiosis relationship of the green innovation ecosystem of Yellow River Basin is analyzed,which provides a reference for the development practice of the basin economy.
