People are the most dynamic and active elements in the process of urbani zation,and their overall size,spatial layout and demographic characteristics are crucial for the sustainable development of cities.The spatial distribution of pop ulation is closely related to factors such as economic development level,urbani zation degree and employment spatial structure,and studying the optimal layout of population is of great significance for promoting the coordinated development of population,resources and environment,ensuring urban ecological security,andachieving sustainable development.Coal-resource-based cities not only provid inexhaustible impetus for economic development,but also form large-scale coalmining subsidence areas due to large-scale mining,which in turn threatensthe production and living space of nearby residents and the social space of thecity.For resource-based cities,the full,effective and reasonable development and utilization of coal and land resources,and in the process of improving the ecological environment,we must pay attention to reducing the negative impact of land collapse caused by coal mining,so as to avoid aggravating the contradi ction between industrial and agricultural development and the contradiction between people and land.Understanding the temporal and spatial law of population evolution in coal mining subsidence areas,analyzing the relationship between coal mining subsidence and population,and grasping its related causes have important theoretical value and practical significance for enriching the relevant content of population research,helping coal mining subsidence areas break through the conflict status quo and achieve sustainable and high-quality development.Taking Suixi County of Anhui Province as the research area and the population space of coal mining subsidence area as the research object,this paper first analyzes the spatiotemporal situation of coal mining collapse in Suixi County through geoprocessing,and then analyzes the number and structure of the overall population of Suixi County from 2000 to 2020,compares it with Huaibei City,and then uses the center of gravity shift method,standard deviati on ellipse,correlation analysis,decoupling analysis and other research methods to analyze the 2007,2007 and other research methods of Suixi County The sp atiotemporal evolution characteristics of population in 2014 and 2020 were anal yzed and summarized,and the correlation between the two was further studied.Combined with the analysis of other factors,it will help ease the relationship between local people and land,and help the integrated development of urban and rural areas and rural revitalization.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)All towns in Suixi County were affected by coal mining collapse,the collapse area expanded and increased,and the center of gravity shifted to the northeast.The coal mining collapse in Suixi County is mainly affected by the distribution of mining areas and the progress of mineral resources exploitation,with Liuqiao Town and Baishan Town in the north and Hancun Town,Wugou Town and Nanping Town in the south,and Shuangdui Market Town is the only township in the county where the coal mining collapse area continues to decrease,mainly because there is no mining plan in the area during the study period.The high nuclear density of the coal mining subsidence area moved north to east and continued to expand,and the proportion of space continued to increase,and the problem of coal mining collapse in the eastern part of Suixi began to appear.(2)The population of Suixi County accounts for a relatively large proporti on in Huaibei City,and the population is characterized by high north and south and low central in spatial distribution.As the only county directly under the jurisdiction of Huaibei City,Suixi County accounts for about 55% of the city’s population,and the population distribution in the town is uneven,and the population of Liuqiao Town has always been the smallest.The population density of Suixi County is significantly lower than that of Huaibei City,and the spatial characteristics of "high north and low south,high west and low east".As the political and economic center of the county,Suixi Town gathers the largest population with the smallest area,and is adjacent to Huaibei City,with high transportation accessibility,which is the growth pole of population and economic development of Suixi County.The total population fluctuation of Suixi County rises and the growth rate fluctuates down,except for Suixi Town,the population of all other towns are positive growth agglomeration types,divided into four categories: "sustained growth and growth accelerate","sustained growth slowdown","first decrease and then growth growth faster" and "continu ous reduction and deceleration acceleration",and the population density pattern tends to "flatten" development.The sex ratio of the population in Suixi County is on the rise,the proportion of young population continues to decrease and aging is increasing,and the urbanization rate continues to increase.(3)The population of Suixi County and the coal mining collapse area incr eased synchronously in time,and the overall spatial movement moved south towest.The relationship between the population and coal mining collapse in Suix i County is manifested as population change caused by coal mining collapse,and the relationship between the two is reflected in the decoupling relationship.The population center of gravity in Suixi County shifted to the southwest,and the center of gravity of coal mining collapse moved southward;The population standard deviation ellipse coverage area decreased,the population spatial distrib ution was polarized,the coal mining collapse standard deviation ellipse coverage area expanded,and the spatial distribution of coal mining collapse tended to be dispersed.The population number,density,male and female population of Suixi County were significantly positively correlated with the coal mining colla pse area,respectively.The correlation coefficient of women is slightly smaller than that of men,and the analysis believes that the collapse is caused by the exploitation of resources such as coal,which requires a certain amount of pop ulation participation,combined with field research,it is found that the proporti on of men in the mining industry is significantly higher than that of women,and the proportion of women in the service industry in the surrounding living areas is slightly higher than that of men,which is consistent with the conclusi ons of this study.The decoupling relationship between the overall coal mining subsidence area and the population number in Suixi County is a strong negative decoupling type.The population of Suixi County fluctuated but was basically stable,and the area of coal mining subsidence area continued to increase,showing an uncoordinated development trend.From the county scale,from 2007 to 2014,81.82% of the townships in Suixi County were in the state of negative decoupling of expansion,of which the area and population of coal mining collapse increased,and the proportion of expansion negative decoupling type with rapid increase in coal mining collapse area accounted for the highest,reaching 45.45%.From 2014 to 2020,90.91% of the townships in Suixi County were in a negative decoupling state,all of which were strong negative decoupling types with the decrease in coal mining subsidence area and the increase in population,and the conflict between people and land was fierce.The area and i ntensity of coal mining collapse were significantly positively correlated with th e area of rural residential land in Liuqiao Town,Linluo Town and Sunwan To wn,and the number of coal mining collapse areas was significantly positively correlated with the urban land area of Tiefo Town.
