| Pressure controlled drilling technology is a new type of technology that can effectively control wellbore pressure to solve complex drilling problems.The pressure control drilling throttle valve,as a key part of the choke manifold system to achieve pressure control,is in direct contact with the drilling fluid and can effectively control wellbore pressure.The throttle valveās throttle pressure drop characteristic curve and main performance parameters directly affect the success rate of MPD technology implementation.Therefore,optimizing the shape of a pressure controlled drilling throttle valve with easy adjustment of pressure drop curve accuracy,long service life,and high reliability will undoubtedly provide strong guarantee for the successful implementation of pressure controlled drilling technology.This article mainly focuses on optimizing the linear correlation degree of the throttle pressure drop curve of the throttle valve(the degree of coincidence of the pressure drop characteristic curve close to the straight line),and conducts the following research work on the structural optimization design of the throttle valve:(1)Evaluation of the Current Status and Working Characteristics of Pressure Control Drilling Choke ValvesBy combining literature review and on-site research,a preliminary classification of the functions and performance of commonly used throttle valves for pressure controlled drilling processes in the market was conducted to understand the current usage status,structural functions,and applicable conditions of existing throttle valves.We have thoroughly studied the pressure drop characteristics,erosion resistance characteristics,and service life of throttle valves with different valve core shapes and evaluated their working mechanism parameters,in order to optimize the valve core structure suitable for pressure control drilling on-site processes.(2)Optimization of Plate Type Throttle Valve Structure and Research on Pressure Drop CharacteristicsNumerical simulation is conducted on plate throttle valves with different valve core shapes to study their pressure control and throttling characteristics.The relationship curve between the stroke size and pressure drop of the throttle valve is analyzed,and a throttle valve shape with good linearity between the stroke size and pressure drop curve is selected.(3)Research on erosion characteristics of plate throttle valveUsing numerical simulation methods to study the erosion and wear rate of rock debris particles in drilling fluid on plate throttle valves.By using the ANSYS optimization algorithm model,identify the approximate location of erosion and wear on the plate throttle valve,and provide specific optimization measures.The analysis of the pressure drop characteristics and erosion characteristics of the plate type throttle valve provides a reference basis for the on-site use and structural optimization design of the throttle valve under pressure controlled drilling technology,which is of great significance for the on-site promotion and application of the pressure controlled drilling throttle valve. |
