Research On The Impact Of Carbon Emission Trading Policy On The Eco-Efficiency Of Regional Industry

China,the largest carbon emitter,has pledged to the international community to peak carbon dioxide emissions by 2030 and become carbon neutral by 2060.Promoting industrial ecological construction is an urgent need for China to achieve sustainable development.In order to promote energy conservation and carbon reduction,China’s carbon emission trading policy has experienced from pilot to comprehensive implementation.At present,it is of great practical significance to test the effect of this policy based on regional industrial ecological construction.Firstly,this paper reviews the research status of industrial ecologicalization and carbon emission trading policies at home and abroad,and introduces sustainable development theory,ecology theory and low-carbon economy theory.Then,based on panel data of 30 provinces and cities from 2007 to 2019,this paper uses SBM-DEA model to calculate the efficiency of regional industrial ecologicalization.The influence of carbon emission trading policy on regional industrial ecological efficiency was evaluated by using the differential difference model,and further verified by using the propensity score matching method.The influence mechanism of carbon emission trading policy on regional industrial ecological efficiency was verified by using the intermediary effect model.The results show that the ecological efficiency of industry in China decreases first and then increases.The overall spatial difference is obvious,the average industrial ecological efficiency in the eastern coastal region is higher than that in the central and western regions.Carbon emission trading policy can significantly improve regional industrial ecological efficiency and has regional heterogeneity.Carbon emission trading policy promotes regional energy conservation and emission reduction and economic development through structural optimization and upgrading effect,resource synergistic agglomeration effect and ecological optimization support effect.China should strengthen regional cooperation,build a more complete industrial ecosystem,encourage technological research and development and technological innovation,continue to guide the urban development model to low-carbon development,avoid blind expansion,and improve the efficiency of regional industrial ecology.This study provides policy implications for the healthy operation of carbon market and regional economic construction in the future.
