Research On The Application Of Narrative Illustration In Toy Packaging Design

In a mass consumer society,toys and various aesthetic styles,games,and movie characters derived from various types of toys have inevitably become symbols with specific artistic values and social meanings of human civilization.As a carrier for conveying this culture,the visual design of packaging-illustration-has become one of the important ways for people to receive information.Illustrative images,compared to textual forms,convey information more intuitively,quickly,and make people feel more interesting,and have been integrated into all aspects of human life.Looking at most toy packaging in the market,the cultural portrayal of packaging design is superficial,and too much emphasis is placed on commercialization,lacking in the exploration of its cultural connotations and the creation of an aesthetic atmosphere.As a result,toy packaging and toy products cannot establish emotional connections with consumers,nor can they effectively reflect the cultural characteristics and connotations expressed by toys.This design takes the narrative illustration design of toy packaging as the research object.Through relevant research at home and abroad,it summarizes the characteristics of toy packaging design and narrative illustration,as well as the role of narrative illustration in toy packaging.It also analyzes the needs of consumers for narrative illustration in toy packaging,and summarizes the story structure elements and visual elements of narrative illustration in toy packaging of Scattered schalar brand,Draw the feasibility of combining narrative illustrations with toy packaging.In the design,the classification,expression forms,and design methods of narrative illustrations for toy packaging were sorted out,providing theoretical reference for the design practice of toy packaging for the Scattered schalar brand.The toy packaging design for the Scattered schalar brand was completed and demonstrated in this article.
