Compared with composting and landfill treatment, municipal solid waste incineration(MSWI)treatment has become the mainstream waste treatment method, but new pollutants will be generated during the incineration process, such as abundant of MSWI fly ash, which contains abundant toxic and harmful substances, improper disposal will have an impact on the environment and cause harm to the human body.Fly ash is also one of the solid wastes, and its output is huge. However, accumulation and storage will not only occupy land resources and cause pressure on the environment, but also be a waste of environmental resources. Therefore, the use of MSWI fly ash and fly ash to prepare ceramsite can largely solve the problem of utilization of the two solid wastes. In this paper,MSWI fly ash and fly ash are reused as the primary raw materials for ceramsite preparation and supplemented with a certain amount of foaming agent silicon carbide and flux magnesia to burn ceramsite.Good raw material ratio and roasting system. The single-factor test was used to fire ceramsite, and the apparent and microscopic morphology of homemade ceramsite,as well as the phase composition of ceramsite, were analyzed.Treat low-concentration ammonia nitrogen wastewater(self-prepared simulated sewage)with experimental ceramsite, explore the influence of experimental factors on the adsorption of ammonia nitrogen in ceramsite; The ammonia nitrogen removal rate was compared to evaluate the ammonia nitrogen adsorption effect of homemade ceramsite as ceramsite filter material. The main conclusions are as follows:(1)By analyzing the influence of MSWI fly ash content, roasting conditions, silicon carbide, and magnesium oxide content on the performance indicators of ceramsite,it is known that the increase of fly ash content will generate more gas during the roasting process, which will cause the formation of rich ceramsite inside the ceramsite. At the same time, the total amount of silicon and aluminum oxides in the ceramsite raw material balls is relatively reduced, which reduces the compressive strength;the baking time is prolonged so that the liquid phase generated by the melting of the ceramsite raw material balls increases and has enough time to flow to the ceramsite.Pore structure, ceramsite becomes dense;the calcination temperature has a significant influence on the apparent properties of the ceramsite and the size and shape of the pores inside the ceramsite;the addition of silicon carbide will eventually make the porosity of the ceramsite generate gas more obvious, the pores of the ceramsite will increase, and the compressive strength will decrease;Magnesium oxide is added, and finally, the liquid phase fills the inner and surface pores of the ceramsite, and the compressive strength increases.(2)Scanning electron microscope and X-ray diffraction analysis showed that the sintering reaction of ceramsite was gradually completed under high-temperature sintering, and many small pores and micropores were generated inside,it’s conducive to increasing the specific surface area.It also provides more active sites for the adsorption of NH4+in the ceramsite;a large number of feldspar minerals generated inside the ceramsite are the source of the strength of the ceramsite.(3)The experimental ceramsite was used to treat low-concentration ammonia nitrogen wastewater, and it was found that the basic performance indicators of the experimental ceramsite met the standards of"Artificial Ceramsite Filter Material for Water Treatment"(CJ/T299-2008)and"Light Aggregate and Its Test Method"(GB/T17431.2-2010),it has a certain ability to adsorb ammonia nitrogen and can be used as a ceramsite filter material.(4)Through the leaching analysis of heavy metal toxicity, the leaching concentration of Cd in the raw material MSWI fly ash exceeds the relevant national standard limit, while the leaching concentration of the experimental ceramsite is far lower than GB/T5085.3-2007.There is no threat to people or the environment.
